He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

John 16:2: ^CA us gaqumþim dreiband izwis; akei qimiþ hveila, ei sahvazuh izei usqimiþ izwis, þuggkeiþ hunsla saljan guda.; — ἀποσυναγώγους ποιήσουσιν ὑμᾶς: ἀλλ' ἔρχεται ὥρα ἵνα πᾶς ὁ ἀποκτείνας ὑμᾶς δόξῃ λατρείαν προσφέρειν τῷ θεῷ.; — They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
John 16:5: ^CA Iþ nu gagga du þamma sandjandin mik, jah ainshun us izwis ni fraihniþ mik: hvaþ gaggis?; — νῦν δὲ ὑπάγω πρὸς τὸν πέμψαντά με, καὶ οὐδεὶς ἐξ ὑμῶν ἐρωτᾷ με, ποῦ ὑπάγεις;; — But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
John 16:14: ^CA jains mik hauheiþ, unte us meinamma nimiþ jah gateihiþ izwis.; — ἐκεῖνος ἐμὲ δοξάσει, ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ ἐμοῦ λήμψεται καὶ ἀναγγελεῖ ὑμῖν.; — He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
John 16:15: ^CA all þatei aih atta, mein ist; duhþe qaþ þatei us meinamma nimiþ jah gateihiþ izwis.; — πάντα ὅσα ἔχει ὁ πατὴρ ἐμά ἐστιν: διὰ τοῦτο εἶπον ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ ἐμοῦ λαμβάνει καὶ ἀναγγελεῖ ὑμῖν.; — All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
John 16:17: ^CA þaruh qeþun us þaim siponjam <is> du sis misso: hva ist þata þatei qiþiþ unsis: leitil ei ni saihviþ mik, jah aftra leitil jah gasaihviþ mik, jah þatei ik gagga du attin?; — εἶπαν οὖν ἐκ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ πρὸς ἀλλήλους, τί ἐστιν τοῦτο ὃ λέγει ἡμῖν, μικρὸν καὶ οὐ θεωρεῖτέ με, καὶ πάλιν μικρὸν καὶ ὄψεσθέ με; καί, ὅτι ὑπάγω πρὸς τὸν πατέρα;; — Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
John 17:6: ^CA gabairhtida þeinata namo mannam þanzei atgaft mis us þamma fairhvau. þeinai wesun jah mis atgaft ins, jah þata waurd þeinata gafastaidedun.; — ἐφανέρωσά σου τὸ ὄνομα τοῖς ἀνθρώποις οὓς ἔδωκάς μοι ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου. σοὶ ἦσαν κἀμοὶ αὐτοὺς ἔδωκας, καὶ τὸν λόγον σου τετήρηκαν.; — I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
John 17:12: ^CA þan was miþ im in þamma fairhvau, ik fastaida ins in namin þeinamma. þanzei atgaft mis gafastaida, jah ainshun us im ni fraqistnoda, niba sa sunus fralustais, ei þata gamelido usfulliþ waurþi.; — ὅτε ἤμην μετ' αὐτῶν ἐγὼ ἐτήρουν αὐτοὺς ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί σου ᾧ δέδωκάς μοι, καὶ ἐφύλαξα, καὶ οὐδεὶς ἐξ αὐτῶν ἀπώλετο εἰ μὴ ὁ υἱὸς τῆς ἀπωλείας, ἵνα ἡ γραφὴ πληρωθῇ.; — While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
John 17:14: ^CA ik atgaf im waurd þeinata; jah so manaseþs fijaida ins, unte ni sind us þamma fairhvau, swaswe ik us þamma fairhvau ni im.; — ἐγὼ δέδωκα αὐτοῖς τὸν λόγον σου, καὶ ὁ κόσμος ἐμίσησεν αὐτούς, ὅτι οὐκ εἰσὶν ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου καθὼς ἐγὼ οὐκ εἰμὶ ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου.; — I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
John 17:15: ^CA ni bidja ei usnimais ins us þamma fairhvau, ak ei bairgais im faura þamma unseljin.; — οὐκ ἐρωτῶ ἵνα ἄρῃς αὐτοὺς ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου ἀλλ' ἵνα τηρήσῃς αὐτοὺς ἐκ τοῦ πονηροῦ.; — I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
John 17:16: ^CA us þamma fairhvau ni sind, swaswe ik us þamma fairhvau ni im.; — ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου οὐκ εἰσὶν καθὼς ἐγὼ οὐκ εἰμὶ ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου.; — They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
John 18:36: ^CA andhof Iesus: þiudangardi meina nist us þamma fairhvau; iþ us þamma fairhvau wesi meina þiudangardi, aiþþau andbahtos meinai usdaudidedeina, ei ni galewiþs wesjau Iudaium. iþ nu þiudangardi meina nist þaþro.; — ἀπεκρίθη ἰησοῦς, ἡ βασιλεία ἡ ἐμὴ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τούτου: εἰ ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τούτου ἦν ἡ βασιλεία ἡ ἐμή, οἱ ὑπηρέται οἱ ἐμοὶ ἠγωνίζοντο [ἄν], ἵνα μὴ παραδοθῶ τοῖς ἰουδαίοις: νῦν δὲ ἡ βασιλεία ἡ ἐμὴ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐντεῦθεν.; — Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Luke 1:71: ^CA giban nasein us fijandam unsaraim jah us handau allaize þize hatandane unsis,; — σωτηρίαν ἐξ ἐχθρῶν ἡμῶν καὶ ἐκ χειρὸς πάντων τῶν μισούντων ἡμᾶς:; — That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

Luke 2:35: ^CA jah þan þeina silbons saiwala þairhgaggiþ hairus, ei andhuljaindau us managaim hairtam mitoneis.; — καὶ σοῦ [δὲ] αὐτῆς τὴν ψυχὴν διελεύσεται ῥομφαία, ὅπως ἂν ἀποκαλυφθῶσιν ἐκ πολλῶν καρδιῶν διαλογισμοί.; — (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

Luke 3:8: ^CA waurkjaiþ nu akran wairþata idreigos jah ni duginnaiþ qiþan in izwis: attan aigum Abraham; qiþa auk izwis þatei mag guþ us stainam þaim urraisjan barna Abrahama.; — ποιήσατε οὖν καρποὺς ἀξίους τῆς μετανοίας: καὶ μὴ ἄρξησθε λέγειν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς, πατέρα ἔχομεν τὸν ἀβραάμ, λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν ὅτι δύναται ὁ θεὸς ἐκ τῶν λίθων τούτων ἐγεῖραι τέκνα τῷ ἀβραάμ.; — Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Luke 3:22: ^CA jah atiddja ahma sa weiha leikis siunai swe ahaks ana ina, jah stibna us himina warþ qiþandei: þu is sunus meins sa liuba, in þuzei waila galeikaida.; — καὶ καταβῆναι τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον σωματικῷ εἴδει ὡς περιστερὰν ἐπ' αὐτόν, καὶ φωνὴν ἐξ οὐρανοῦ γενέσθαι, σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱός μου ὁ ἀγαπητός, ἐν σοὶ εὐδόκησα.; — And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
Luke 4:22: ^CA jah allai alakjo weitwodidedun imma jah sildaleikidedun bi þo waurda anstais þo usgaggandona us munþa is jah qeþun: niu sa ist sunus Iosefis?; — καὶ πάντες ἐμαρτύρουν αὐτῷ καὶ ἐθαύμαζον ἐπὶ τοῖς λόγοις τῆς χάριτος τοῖς ἐκπορευομένοις ἐκ τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔλεγον, οὐχὶ υἱός ἐστιν ἰωσὴφ οὗτος;; — And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
Luke 4:29: ^CA jah usstandans uskusun imma ut us baurg jah brahtedun ina und auhmisto þis fairgunjis ana þammei so baurgs ize gatimrida was, du afdrausjan ina þaþro.; — καὶ ἀναστάντες ἐξέβαλον αὐτὸν ἔξω τῆς πόλεως, καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτὸν ἕως ὀφρύος τοῦ ὄρους ἐφ' οὗ ἡ πόλις ᾠκοδόμητο αὐτῶν, ὥστε κατακρημνίσαι αὐτόν:; — And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.
Luke 4:35: ^CA jah gahvotida imma Iesus qiþands: afdobn jah usgagg us þamma. jah gawairpands ina sa unhulþa in midjaim urrann af imma, ni waihtai gaskaþjands imma.; — καὶ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτῷ ὁ ἰησοῦς λέγων, φιμώθητι καὶ ἔξελθε ἀπ' αὐτοῦ. καὶ ῥίψαν αὐτὸν τὸ δαιμόνιον εἰς τὸ μέσον ἐξῆλθεν ἀπ' αὐτοῦ μηδὲν βλάψαν αὐτόν.; — And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
Luke 4:38: ^CA usstandands þan us þizai swnagogai galaiþ in gard Seimonis. swaihro þan þis Seimonis was anahabaida brinnon mikilai, jah bedun ina bi þo.; — ἀναστὰς δὲ ἀπὸ τῆς συναγωγῆς εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν σίμωνος. πενθερὰ δὲ τοῦ σίμωνος ἦν συνεχομένη πυρετῷ μεγάλῳ, καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτὸν περὶ αὐτῆς.; — And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
Luke 5:3: ^CA galaiþ þan in ain þize skipe, þatei was Seimonis; haihait ina aftiuhan fairra staþa leitil jah gasitands laisida us þamma skipa manageins.; — ἐμβὰς δὲ εἰς ἓν τῶν πλοίων, ὃ ἦν σίμωνος, ἠρώτησεν αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἐπαναγαγεῖν ὀλίγον, καθίσας δὲ ἐκ τοῦ πλοίου ἐδίδασκεν τοὺς ὄχλους.; — And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
Luke 5:17: ^CA jah warþ in ainamma dage, jah is was laisjands. jah wesun sitandans Fareisaieis jah witodalaisarjos, þaiei wesun gaqumanai us allamma haimo Galeilaias jah Iudaias jah Iairusaulwmon; jah mahts fraujins was du hailjan ins.; — καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν μιᾷ τῶν ἡμερῶν καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν διδάσκων, καὶ ἦσαν καθήμενοι φαρισαῖοι καὶ νομοδιδάσκαλοι οἳ ἦσαν ἐληλυθότες ἐκ πάσης κώμης τῆς γαλιλαίας καὶ ἰουδαίας καὶ ἰερουσαλήμ: καὶ δύναμις κυρίου ἦν εἰς τὸ ἰᾶσθαι αὐτόν.; — And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
Luke 6:13: ^CA jah biþe warþ dags, atwopida siponjans seinans jah gawaljands us im twalib, þanzei jah apaustuluns namnida:; — καὶ ὅτε ἐγένετο ἡμέρα, προσεφώνησεν τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐκλεξάμενος ἀπ' αὐτῶν δώδεκα, οὓς καὶ ἀποστόλους ὠνόμασεν,; — And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;
Luke 6:42: ^CA aiþþau hvaiwa magt qiþan du broþr þeinamma: broþar let, ik uswairpa gramsta þamma in augin þeinamma, silba in augin þeinamma anza ni gaumjands? liuta, uswairp faurþis þamma anza us augin þeinamma, jah þan gaumjais uswairpan gramsta þamma in augin broþrs þeinis.; — πῶς δύνασαι λέγειν τῷ ἀδελφῷ σου, ἀδελφέ, ἄφες ἐκβάλω τὸ κάρφος τὸ ἐν τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ σου, αὐτὸς τὴν ἐν τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ σοῦ δοκὸν οὐ βλέπων; ὑποκριτά, ἔκβαλε πρῶτον τὴν δοκὸν ἐκ τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ σοῦ, καὶ τότε διαβλέψεις τὸ κάρφος τὸ ἐν τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου ἐκβαλεῖν.; — Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.
Luke 6:44: ^CA hvarjizuh raihtis bagme us swesamma akrana uskunþs ist; ni auk us þaurnum lisand[a] smakkans, nih þan us aihvatundjai trudand[a] weinabasja.; — ἕκαστον γὰρ δένδρον ἐκ τοῦ ἰδίου καρποῦ γινώσκεται: οὐ γὰρ ἐξ ἀκανθῶν συλλέγουσιν σῦκα, οὐδὲ ἐκ βάτου σταφυλὴν τρυγῶσιν.; — For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
Luke 6:45: ^CA þiuþeigs manna us þiuþeigamma huzda hairtins seinis usbairid þiuþ, jah ubils manna us ubilamma hairtins seinis usbairid ubil: uzuh allis ufarfullein hairtins rodeid munþs is.; — ὁ ἀγαθὸς ἄνθρωπος ἐκ τοῦ ἀγαθοῦ θησαυροῦ τῆς καρδίας προφέρει τὸ ἀγαθόν, καὶ ὁ πονηρὸς ἐκ τοῦ πονηροῦ προφέρει τὸ πονηρόν: ἐκ γὰρ περισσεύματος καρδίας λαλεῖ τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ.; — A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Luke 8:2: ^CA jah qinons þozei wesun galeikinodos ahmane ubilaize jah sauhte, jah Marja sei haitana was Magdalene, us þizaiei usiddjedun unhulþons sibun,; — καὶ γυναῖκές τινες αἳ ἦσαν τεθεραπευμέναι ἀπὸ πνευμάτων πονηρῶν καὶ ἀσθενειῶν, μαρία ἡ καλουμένη μαγδαληνή, ἀφ' ἧς δαιμόνια ἑπτὰ ἐξεληλύθει,; — And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
Luke 8:3: ^CA jah Iohanna, qens Kusins, fauragaggjins Herodes, jah Susanna jah anþaros managos, þozei andbahtededun im us aiginam seinaim.; — καὶ ἰωάννα γυνὴ χουζᾶ ἐπιτρόπου ἡρῴδου καὶ σουσάννα καὶ ἕτεραι πολλαί, αἵτινες διηκόνουν αὐτοῖς ἐκ τῶν ὑπαρχόντων αὐταῖς.; — And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.
Luke 8:4: ^CA gaqumanaim þan hiumam managaim jah þaim þaiei us baurgim gaïddjedun du imma, qaþ þairh gajukon:; — συνιόντος δὲ ὄχλου πολλοῦ καὶ τῶν κατὰ πόλιν ἐπιπορευομένων πρὸς αὐτὸν εἶπεν διὰ παραβολῆς,; — And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:
Luke 8:27: ^CA usgaggandin þan imma ana airþa, gamotida imma wair sums us baurg saei habaida unhulþons mela lagga jah wastjom ni gawasiþs was jah in garda ni gawas, ak in hlaiwasnom.; — ἐξελθόντι δὲ αὐτῷ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ὑπήντησεν ἀνήρ τις ἐκ τῆς πόλεως ἔχων δαιμόνια: καὶ χρόνῳ ἱκανῷ οὐκ ἐνεδύσατο ἱμάτιον, καὶ ἐν οἰκίᾳ οὐκ ἔμενεν ἀλλ' ἐν τοῖς μνήμασιν.; — And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.
Luke 9:5: ^CA jah swa managai swe ni andnimaina izwis, usgaggandans us þizai baurg jainai jah mulda af fotum izwaraim afhrisjaiþ du weitwodiþai ana ins.; — καὶ ὅσοι ἂν μὴ δέχωνται ὑμᾶς, ἐξερχόμενοι ἀπὸ τῆς πόλεως ἐκείνης τὸν κονιορτὸν ἀπὸ τῶν ποδῶν ὑμῶν ἀποτινάσσετε εἰς μαρτύριον ἐπ' αὐτούς.; — And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
Luke 9:7: ^CA gahausida þan Herodis sa taitrarkes þo waurþanona fram imma alla jah þahta, unte qeþun sumai þatei Iohannes urrais us dauþaim.; — ἤκουσεν δὲ ἡρῴδης ὁ τετραάρχης τὰ γινόμενα πάντα, καὶ διηπόρει διὰ τὸ λέγεσθαι ὑπό τινων ὅτι ἰωάννης ἠγέρθη ἐκ νεκρῶν,; — Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead;
Luke 9:35: ^CA jah stibna warþ us þamma milhmin qiþandei: sa ist sunus meins sa liuba, þamma hausjaiþ.; — καὶ φωνὴ ἐγένετο ἐκ τῆς νεφέλης λέγουσα, οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ υἱός μου ὁ ἐκλελεγμένος, αὐτοῦ ἀκούετε.; — And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Luke 9:38: ^CA jah sai, manna us þizai managein ufwopida qiþands: laisari, bidja þuk insaihvan du sunu meinamma, unte ainaha mis ist.; — καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄχλου ἐβόησεν λέγων, διδάσκαλε, δέομαί σου ἐπιβλέψαι ἐπὶ τὸν υἱόν μου, ὅτι μονογενής μοί ἐστιν,; — And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.
Luke 9:54: ^CA gasaihvandans þan siponjos is Iakobus jah Iohannes qeþun: frauja, wileizu ei qiþaima, fon atgaggai us himina jah fraqimai im, swe jah Heleias gatawida?; — ἰδόντες δὲ οἱ μαθηταὶ ἰάκωβος καὶ ἰωάννης εἶπαν, κύριε, θέλεις εἴπωμεν πῦρ καταβῆναι ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἀναλῶσαι αὐτούς;; — And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
Luke 10:7: ^CA inuh þan þamma garda wisaiþ matjandans jah driggkandans þo at im; wairþs auk ist waurstwja mizdons seinaizos. ni faraiþ us garda in gard.; — ἐν αὐτῇ δὲ τῇ οἰκίᾳ μένετε, ἐσθίοντες καὶ πίνοντες τὰ παρ' αὐτῶν, ἄξιος γὰρ ὁ ἐργάτης τοῦ μισθοῦ αὐτοῦ. μὴ μεταβαίνετε ἐξ οἰκίας εἰς οἰκίαν.; — And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.
Luke 10:11: ^CA jah stubju þana gahaftnandan unsis us þizai baurg izwarai ana fotuns unsarans afhrisjam izwis; sweþauh þata witeiþ þatei atnehvida sik ana izwis þiudangardi gudis.; — καὶ τὸν κονιορτὸν τὸν κολληθέντα ἡμῖν ἐκ τῆς πόλεως ὑμῶν εἰς τοὺς πόδας ἀπομασσόμεθα ὑμῖν: πλὴν τοῦτο γινώσκετε ὅτι ἤγγικεν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ.; — Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
Luke 10:18: ^CA qaþ þan du im: gasahv Satanan swe lauhmunja driusandan us himina.; — εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς, ἐθεώρουν τὸν σατανᾶν ὡς ἀστραπὴν ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ πεσόντα.; — And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Luke 10:27: ^CA iþ is andhafjands qaþ: frijos fraujan guþ þeinana us allamma hairtin þeinamma jah us allai saiwalai þeinai jah us allai mahtai þeinai jah us allai gahugdai þeinai, jah nehvundjan þeinana swe þuk silban.; — ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν, ἀγαπήσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου ἐξ ὅλης [τῆς] καρδίας σου καὶ ἐν ὅλῃ τῇ ψυχῇ σου καὶ ἐν ὅλῃ τῇ ἰσχύϊ σου καὶ ἐν ὅλῃ τῇ διανοίᾳ σου, καὶ τὸν πλησίον σου ὡς σεαυτόν.; — And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Luke 16:4: ^CA andþahta mik hva taujau, ei þan, biþe afsatjaidau us fauragaggja, andnimaina mik in gardins seinans.; — ἔγνων τί ποιήσω, ἵνα ὅταν μετασταθῶ ἐκ τῆς οἰκονομίας δέξωνταί με εἰς τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν.; — I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
Luke 16:9: ^CA jah ik izwis qiþa: taujaiþ izwis frijonds us faihuþraihna inwindiþos, ei þan ufligaiþ, andnimaina izwis in aiweinos hleiþros.; — καὶ ἐγὼ ὑμῖν λέγω, ἑαυτοῖς ποιήσατε φίλους ἐκ τοῦ μαμωνᾶ τῆς ἀδικίας, ἵνα ὅταν ἐκλίπῃ δέξωνται ὑμᾶς εἰς τὰς αἰωνίους σκηνάς.; — And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
Luke 17:6: ^CA qaþ þan frauja: jabai habaidedeiþ galaubein swe kaurno sinapis, aiþþau jus [jabai] qiþeiþ du bairabagma þamma: uslausei þuk us waurtim jah ussatei þuk in marein, jah andhausidedi þau izwis.; — εἶπεν δὲ ὁ κύριος, εἰ ἔχετε πίστιν ὡς κόκκον σινάπεως, ἐλέγετε ἂν τῇ συκαμίνῳ [ταύτῃ], ἐκριζώθητι καὶ φυτεύθητι ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ: καὶ ὑπήκουσεν ἂν ὑμῖν.; — And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
Luke 17:24: ^CA swaswe raihtis lauhmoni lauhatjandei us þamma uf himina in þata uf himina skeiniþ, swa wairþiþ sunus mans in daga seinamma.; — ὥσπερ γὰρ ἡ ἀστραπὴ ἀστράπτουσα ἐκ τῆς ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανὸν εἰς τὴν ὑπ' οὐρανὸν λάμπει, οὕτως ἔσται ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου [ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ αὐτοῦ].; — For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
Luke 17:29: ^CA iþ þammei daga usiddja Lod us Saudaumim, rignida swibla jah funin us himina jah fraqistida allaim.; — ᾗ δὲ ἡμέρᾳ ἐξῆλθεν λὼτ ἀπὸ σοδόμων, ἔβρεξεν πῦρ καὶ θεῖον ἀπ' οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἀπώλεσεν πάντας.; — But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Luke 18:21: ^CA iþ is qaþuh: þata allata gafastaida us jundai meinai.; — ὁ δὲ εἶπεν, ταῦτα πάντα ἐφύλαξα ἐκ νεότητος.; — And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
Luke 19:22: ^CA jah qaþ du imma: us munþa þeinamma stoja þuk, unselja skalk jah lata. wisseis þatei ik manna hardus im, nimands þatei ni lagida jah sneiþands þatei ni saiso;; — λέγει αὐτῷ, ἐκ τοῦ στόματός σου κρίνω σε, πονηρὲ δοῦλε. ᾔδεις ὅτι ἐγὼ ἄνθρωπος αὐστηρός εἰμι, αἴρων ὃ οὐκ ἔθηκα καὶ θερίζων ὃ οὐκ ἔσπειρα;; — And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
Luke 19:39: ^CA jah sumai Fareisaie us þizai managein qeþun du imma: laisari, sak þaim siponjam þeinaim.; — καί τινες τῶν φαρισαίων ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄχλου εἶπαν πρὸς αὐτόν, διδάσκαλε, ἐπιτίμησον τοῖς μαθηταῖς σου.; — And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
Luke 20:5: ^CA iþ eis þahtedun miþ sis misso qiþandans þatei jabai qiþam: us himina, qiþiþ: aþþan duhve ni galaubideduþ imma?; — οἱ δὲ συνελογίσαντο πρὸς ἑαυτοὺς λέγοντες ὅτι ἐὰν εἴπωμεν, ἐξ οὐρανοῦ, ἐρεῖ, διὰ τί οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ;; — And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?
Luke 20:6: ^CA iþ jabai qiþam: us mannam, alla so managei stainam afwairpiþ unsis; triggwaba galaubjand auk allai Iohannen praufetu wisan.; — ἐὰν δὲ εἴπωμεν, ἐξ ἀνθρώπων, ὁ λαὸς ἅπας καταλιθάσει ἡμᾶς, πεπεισμένος γάρ ἐστιν ἰωάννην προφήτην εἶναι.; — But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.
Luke 20:15: ^CA jah uswairpandans ina ut us þamma weinagarda usqemun. hva nu taujai im frauja þis weinagardis?; — καὶ ἐκβαλόντες αὐτὸν ἔξω τοῦ ἀμπελῶνος ἀπέκτειναν. τί οὖν ποιήσει αὐτοῖς ὁ κύριος τοῦ ἀμπελῶνος;; — So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?
Luke 20:20: ^CA jah afleiþandans insandidedun ferjans, þans us liutein taiknjandans sik garaihtans wisan, ei gafaifaheina is waurdei jah atgebeina ina reikja jah waldufnja kindinis.; — καὶ παρατηρήσαντες ἀπέστειλαν ἐγκαθέτους ὑποκρινομένους ἑαυτοὺς δικαίους εἶναι, ἵνα ἐπιλάβωνται αὐτοῦ λόγου, ὥστε παραδοῦναι αὐτὸν τῇ ἀρχῇ καὶ τῇ ἐξουσίᾳ τοῦ ἡγεμόνος.; — And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.
Luke 20:25: ^CA iþ is qaþuh du im: us~nu~gibiþ þo kaisaris kaisara jah þo gudis guda.; — ὁ δὲ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς, τοίνυν ἀπόδοτε τὰ καίσαρος καίσαρι καὶ τὰ τοῦ θεοῦ τῷ θεῷ.; — And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.
Luke 20:35: ^CA iþ þaiei wairþai sind jainis aiwis niutan jah usstassais us dauþaim, ni liugand ni liuganda;; — οἱ δὲ καταξιωθέντες τοῦ αἰῶνος ἐκείνου τυχεῖν καὶ τῆς ἀναστάσεως τῆς ἐκ νεκρῶν οὔτε γαμοῦσιν οὔτε γαμίζονται:; — But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
Mark 1:10: ^CA jah suns usgaggands us þamma watin gasahv usluknans himinans jah ahman swe ahak atgaggandan ana ina.; — καὶ εὐθὺς ἀναβαίνων ἐκ τοῦ ὕδατος εἶδεν σχιζομένους τοὺς οὐρανοὺς καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα ὡς περιστερὰν καταβαῖνον εἰς αὐτόν:; — And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
Mark 1:11: ^CA jah stibna qam us himinam: þu is sunus meins sa liuba, in þuzei waila galeikaida.; — καὶ φωνὴ ἐγένετο ἐκ τῶν οὐρανῶν, σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱός μου ὁ ἀγαπητός, ἐν σοὶ εὐδόκησα.; — And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Mark 1:25: ^CA jah andbait ina Iesus qiþands: þahai jah usgagg ut us þamma, ahma unhrainja.; — καὶ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτῷ ὁ ἰησοῦς λέγων, φιμώθητι καὶ ἔξελθε ἐξ αὐτοῦ.; — And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.
Mark 1:26: ^CA jah tahida ina ahma sa unhrainja jah hropjands stibnai mikilai usiddja us imma.; — καὶ σπαράξαν αὐτὸν τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἀκάθαρτον καὶ φωνῆσαν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ ἐξῆλθεν ἐξ αὐτοῦ.; — And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.
Mark 1:29: ^CA jah suns us þizai swnagogen usgaggandans qemun in garda Seimonis jah Andraiins miþ Iakobau jah Iohannen.; — καὶ εὐθὺς ἐκ τῆς συναγωγῆς ἐξελθόντες ἦλθον εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν σίμωνος καὶ ἀνδρέου μετὰ ἰακώβου καὶ ἰωάννου.; — And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
Mark 3:7: ^CA jah Iesus aflaiþ miþ siponjam seinaim du marein, jah filu manageins us Galeilaia laistidedun afar imma,; — καὶ ὁ ἰησοῦς μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ ἀνεχώρησεν πρὸς τὴν θάλασσαν: καὶ πολὺ πλῆθος ἀπὸ τῆς γαλιλαίας [ἠκολούθησεν]: καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς ἰουδαίας; — But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
Mark 3:8: ^CA jah us Iudaia jah us Iairusaulwmim jah us Idumaia jah hindana Iaurdanaus; jah þai bi Twra jah Seidona, manageins filu, gahausjandans hvan filu is tawida, qemun at imma.; — καὶ ἀπὸ ἱεροσολύμων καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς ἰδουμαίας καὶ πέραν τοῦ ἰορδάνου καὶ περὶ τύρον καὶ σιδῶνα, πλῆθος πολύ, ἀκούοντες ὅσα ἐποίει ἦλθον πρὸς αὐτόν.; — And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
Mark 5:2: ^CA jah usgaggandin imma us skipa suns gamotida imma manna us aurahjom in ahmin unhrainjamma,; — καὶ ἐξελθόντος αὐτοῦ ἐκ τοῦ πλοίου εὐθὺς ὑπήντησεν αὐτῷ ἐκ τῶν μνημείων ἄνθρωπος ἐν πνεύματι ἀκαθάρτῳ,; — And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
Mark 5:8: ^CA unte qaþ imma: usgagg, ahma unhrainja, us þamma mann!; — ἔλεγεν γὰρ αὐτῷ, ἔξελθε τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἀκάθαρτον ἐκ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου.; — For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
Mark 5:10: ^CA jah baþ ina filu ei ni usdrebi im us landa.; — καὶ παρεκάλει αὐτὸν πολλὰ ἵνα μὴ αὐτὰ ἀποστείλῃ ἔξω τῆς χώρας.; — And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
Mark 5:30: ^CA jah sunsaiw Iesus ufkunþa in sis silbin þo us sis maht usgaggandein; gawandjands sik in managein qaþ: hvas mis taitok wastjom?; — καὶ εὐθὺς ὁ ἰησοῦς ἐπιγνοὺς ἐν ἑαυτῷ τὴν ἐξ αὐτοῦ δύναμιν ἐξελθοῦσαν ἐπιστραφεὶς ἐν τῷ ὄχλῳ ἔλεγεν, τίς μου ἥψατο τῶν ἱματίων;; — And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
Mark 6:3: ^CA niu þata ist sa timrja, sa sunus Marjins, iþ broþar Iakoba<us> jah Iuse<zis> jah Iudins jah Seimonis? jah niu sind swistrjus is her at unsis? jah gamarzidai waurþun in þamma.; — οὐχ οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ τέκτων, ὁ υἱὸς τῆς μαρίας καὶ ἀδελφὸς ἰακώβου καὶ ἰωσῆτος καὶ ἰούδα καὶ σίμωνος; καὶ οὐκ εἰσὶν αἱ ἀδελφαὶ αὐτοῦ ὧδε πρὸς ἡμᾶς; καὶ ἐσκανδαλίζοντο ἐν αὐτῷ.; — Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
Mark 6:14: ^CA jah gahausida þiudans Herodes, swikunþ allis warþ namo is, jah qaþ þatei Iohannis sa daupjands us dauþaim urrais, <jah> duþþe waurkjand þos mahteis in imma.; — καὶ ἤκουσεν ὁ βασιλεὺς ἡρῴδης, φανερὸν γὰρ ἐγένετο τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔλεγον ὅτι ἰωάννης ὁ βαπτίζων ἐγήγερται ἐκ νεκρῶν, καὶ διὰ τοῦτο ἐνεργοῦσιν αἱ δυνάμεις ἐν αὐτῷ.; — And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
Mark 6:16: ^CA gahausjands þan Herodes qaþ þatei þammei ik haubiþ afmaimait Iohanne, sa ist: sah urrais us dauþaim.; — ἀκούσας δὲ ὁ ἡρῴδης ἔλεγεν, ὃν ἐγὼ ἀπεκεφάλισα ἰωάννην, οὗτος ἠγέρθη.; — But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.
Mark 6:54: ^CA jah usgaggandam im us skipa, sunsaiw ufkunnandans ina,; — καὶ ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἐκ τοῦ πλοίου εὐθὺς ἐπιγνόντες αὐτὸν; — And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,
Mark 7:1: ^CA Jah gaqemun sik du imma Fareisaieis jah sumai þize bokarje, qimandans us Iairusaulwmim.; — καὶ συνάγονται πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ φαρισαῖοι καί τινες τῶν γραμματέων ἐλθόντες ἀπὸ ἱεροσολύμων; — Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.
Mark 7:11: ^CA iþ jus qiþiþ: jabai qiþai manna attin seinamma aiþþau aiþein: kaurban, þatei ist maiþms, þishvah þatei us mis gabatnis;; — ὑμεῖς δὲ λέγετε, ἐὰν εἴπῃ ἄνθρωπος τῷ πατρὶ ἢ τῇ μητρί, κορβᾶν, ὅ ἐστιν, δῶρον, ὃ ἐὰν ἐξ ἐμοῦ ὠφεληθῇς,; — But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
Mark 7:15: ^CA ni waihts ist utaþro mans inngaggando in ina þatei magi ina gamainjan; ak þata utgaggando us mann þata ist þata gamainjando mannan.; — οὐδέν ἐστιν ἔξωθεν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου εἰσπορευόμενον εἰς αὐτὸν ὃ δύναται κοινῶσαι αὐτόν: ἀλλὰ τὰ ἐκ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐκπορευόμενά ἐστιν τὰ κοινοῦντα τὸν ἄνθρωπον.; — There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
Mark 7:17: ^CA jah þan galaiþ in gard us þizai managein, frehun ina siponjos is bi þo gajukon.; — καὶ ὅτε εἰσῆλθεν εἰς οἶκον ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄχλου, ἐπηρώτων αὐτὸν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ τὴν παραβολήν.; — And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
Mark 7:20: ^CA qaþuþ~þan þatei þata us mann usgaggando þata gamaineiþ mannan.; — ἔλεγεν δὲ ὅτι τὸ ἐκ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐκπορευόμενον ἐκεῖνο κοινοῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον:; — And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
Mark 7:21: ^CA innaþro auk us hairtin manne mitoneis ubilos usgaggand: kalkinassjus, horinassjus, maurþra,; — ἔσωθεν γὰρ ἐκ τῆς καρδίας τῶν ἀνθρώπων οἱ διαλογισμοὶ οἱ κακοὶ ἐκπορεύονται, πορνεῖαι, κλοπαί, φόνοι,; — For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
Mark 7:26: ^CA wasuþ~þan so qino haiþno, Saurini fwnikiska gabaurþai, jah baþ ina ei þo unhulþon uswaurpi us dauhtr izos.; — ἡ δὲ γυνὴ ἦν ἑλληνίς, συροφοινίκισσα τῷ γένει: καὶ ἠρώτα αὐτὸν ἵνα τὸ δαιμόνιον ἐκβάλῃ ἐκ τῆς θυγατρὸς αὐτῆς.; — The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
Mark 7:29: ^CA jah qaþ du izai: in þis waurdis gagg, usiddja unhulþo us dauhtr þeinai.; — καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ, διὰ τοῦτον τὸν λόγον ὕπαγε, ἐξελήλυθεν ἐκ τῆς θυγατρός σου τὸ δαιμόνιον.; — And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
Mark 8:11: ^CA jah urrunnun Fareisaieis jah dugunnun miþsokjan imma sokjandans du imma taikn us himina, fraisandans ina.; — καὶ ἐξῆλθον οἱ φαρισαῖοι καὶ ἤρξαντο συζητεῖν αὐτῷ, ζητοῦντες παρ' αὐτοῦ σημεῖον ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, πειράζοντες αὐτόν.; — And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
Mark 9:7: ^CA jah warþ milhma ufarskadwjands im, jah qam stibna us þamma milhmin: sa ist sunus meins sa liuba, þamma hausjaiþ.; — καὶ ἐγένετο νεφέλη ἐπισκιάζουσα αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἐγένετο φωνὴ ἐκ τῆς νεφέλης, οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ υἱός μου ὁ ἀγαπητός, ἀκούετε αὐτοῦ.; — And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Mark 9:9: ^CA dalaþ þan atgaggandam im af þamma fairgunja, anabauþ im ei mannhun ni spillodedeina þatei gasehvun, niba biþe sunus mans us dauþaim usstoþi.; — καὶ καταβαινόντων αὐτῶν ἐκ τοῦ ὄρους διεστείλατο αὐτοῖς ἵνα μηδενὶ ἃ εἶδον διηγήσωνται, εἰ μὴ ὅταν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐκ νεκρῶν ἀναστῇ.; — And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
Mark 9:10: ^CA jah þata waurd habaidedun du sis misso sokjandans: hva ist þata us dauþaim usstandan?; — καὶ τὸν λόγον ἐκράτησαν πρὸς ἑαυτοὺς συζητοῦντες τί ἐστιν τὸ ἐκ νεκρῶν ἀναστῆναι.; — And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.
Mark 9:17: ^CA jah andhafjands ains us þizai managein qaþ: laisari, brahta sunu meinana du þus habandan ahman unrodjandan.; — καὶ ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ εἷς ἐκ τοῦ ὄχλου, διδάσκαλε, ἤνεγκα τὸν υἱόν μου πρὸς σέ, ἔχοντα πνεῦμα ἄλαλον:; — And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
Mark 9:21: ^CA jah frah þana attan is: hvan lagg mel ist ei þata warþ imma? iþ is qaþ: us barniskja.; — καὶ ἐπηρώτησεν τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ, πόσος χρόνος ἐστὶν ὡς τοῦτο γέγονεν αὐτῷ; ὁ δὲ εἶπεν, ἐκ παιδιόθεν:; — And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
Mark 9:25: ^CA gasaihvands þan Iesus þatei samaþ rann managei, gahvotida ahmin þamma unhrainjin, qiþands du imma: þu ahma, þu unrodjands jah bauþs, ik þus anabiuda: usgagg us þamma jah þanaseiþs ni galeiþais in ina.; — ἰδὼν δὲ ὁ ἰησοῦς ὅτι ἐπισυντρέχει ὄχλος ἐπετίμησεν τῷ πνεύματι τῷ ἀκαθάρτῳ λέγων αὐτῷ, τὸ ἄλαλον καὶ κωφὸν πνεῦμα, ἐγὼ ἐπιτάσσω σοι, ἔξελθε ἐξ αὐτοῦ καὶ μηκέτι εἰσέλθῃς εἰς αὐτόν.; — When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
Mark 10:20: ^CA þaruh andhafjands qaþ du imma: laisari, þo alla gafastaida us jundai meinai.; — ὁ δὲ ἔφη αὐτῷ, διδάσκαλε, ταῦτα πάντα ἐφυλαξάμην ἐκ νεότητός μου.; — And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
Mark 10:46: ^CA jah qemun in Iairikon. jah usgaggandin imma jainþro miþ siponjam seinaim jah managein ganohai, sunus Teimaiaus, Barteimai[a]us <sa> blinda, sat faur wig du aihtron.; — καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς ἰεριχώ. καὶ ἐκπορευομένου αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ ἰεριχὼ καὶ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ὄχλου ἱκανοῦ ὁ υἱὸς τιμαίου βαρτιμαῖος τυφλὸς προσαίτης ἐκάθητο παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν.; — And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
Mark 11:8: ^CA managai þan wastjom seinaim strawidedun ana wiga; sumai astans maimaitun us bagmam jah strawidedun ana wiga.; — καὶ πολλοὶ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν ἔστρωσαν εἰς τὴν ὁδόν, ἄλλοι δὲ στιβάδας κόψαντες ἐκ τῶν ἀγρῶν.; — And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.
Mark 11:12: ^CA jah iftumin daga usstandandam im us Beþaniin gredags was.; — καὶ τῇ ἐπαύριον ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ βηθανίας ἐπείνασεν.; — And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
Mark 11:14: ^CA jah usbairands qaþ du imma: ni þanaseiþs us þus aiw manna akran matjai. jah gahausidedun þai siponjos is.; — καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτῇ, μηκέτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐκ σοῦ μηδεὶς καρπὸν φάγοι. καὶ ἤκουον οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ.; — And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
Mark 11:19: ^CA jah biþe andanahti warþ, usiddja ut us þizai baurg.; — καὶ ὅταν ὀψὲ ἐγένετο, ἐξεπορεύοντο ἔξω τῆς πόλεως.; — And when even was come, he went out of the city.
Mark 11:20: ^CA jah in maurgin faurgaggandans gasehvun þana smakkabagm þaursjana us waurtim.; — καὶ παραπορευόμενοι πρωῒ εἶδον τὴν συκῆν ἐξηραμμένην ἐκ ῥιζῶν.; — And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
Mark 11:31: ^CA jah þahtedun du sis misso qiþandans, jabai qiþam: us himina, qiþiþ: aþþan duhve ni galaubideduþ imma?; — καὶ διελογίζοντο πρὸς ἑαυτοὺς λέγοντες, ἐὰν εἴπωμεν, ἐξ οὐρανοῦ, ἐρεῖ, διὰ τί [οὖν] οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ;; — And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
Mark 11:32: ^CA ak qiþam: us mannam, uhtedun þo managein. allai auk alakjo habaidedun Iohannen þatei bi sunjai praufetes was.; — ἀλλὰ εἴπωμεν, ἐξ ἀνθρώπων; – ἐφοβοῦντο τὸν ὄχλον, ἅπαντες γὰρ εἶχον τὸν ἰωάννην ὄντως ὅτι προφήτης ἦν.; — But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
Mark 12:8: ^CA jah undgreipandans ina usqemun jah uswaurpun imma ut us þamma weinagarda.; — καὶ λαβόντες ἀπέκτειναν αὐτόν, καὶ ἐξέβαλον αὐτὸν ἔξω τοῦ ἀμπελῶνος.; — And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
Mark 12:25: ^CA allis þan usstandand us dauþaim, ni liugand ni liuganda, ak sind swe aggiljus þai in himinam.; — ὅταν γὰρ ἐκ νεκρῶν ἀναστῶσιν, οὔτε γαμοῦσιν οὔτε γαμίζονται, ἀλλ' εἰσὶν ὡς ἄγγελοι ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς.; — For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
Mark 12:30: ^CA jah frijos fraujan guþ þeinana us allamma hairtin þeinamma jah us allai saiwalai þeinai jah us allai gahugdai þeinai jah us allai mahtai þeinai. so frumista anabusns.; — καὶ ἀγαπήσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου ἐξ ὅλης τῆς καρδίας σου καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς ψυχῆς σου καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς διανοίας σου καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς ἰσχύος σου.; — And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:33: ^CA jah þata du frijon ina us allamma hairtin jah us allamma fraþja jah us allai saiwalai jah us allai mahtai, jah þata du frijon nehvundjan swe sik silban managizo ist allaim þaim alabrunstim jah saudim.; — καὶ τὸ ἀγαπᾶν αὐτὸν ἐξ ὅλης τῆς καρδίας καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς συνέσεως καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς ἰσχύος καὶ τὸ ἀγαπᾶν τὸν πλησίον ὡς ἑαυτὸν περισσότερόν ἐστιν πάντων τῶν ὁλοκαυτωμάτων καὶ θυσιῶν.; — And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Mark 15:46: ^CA jah usbugjands lein jah usnimands ita biwand þamma leina jah galagida ita in hlaiwa, þatei was gadraban us staina, jah atwalwida stain du daura þis hlaiwis.; — καὶ ἀγοράσας σινδόνα καθελὼν αὐτὸν ἐνείλησεν τῇ σινδόνι καὶ ἔθηκεν αὐτὸν ἐν μνημείῳ ὃ ἦν λελατομημένον ἐκ πέτρας, καὶ προσεκύλισεν λίθον ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τοῦ μνημείου.; — And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.
Romans 7:4: ^A swaei nu jah jus, broþrjus meinai, afdauþidai waurþuþ witoda þairh leik Xristaus, ei wairþaiþ anþaramma, þamma us dauþaim urreisandin, ei akran bairaima guda.; — ὥστε, ἀδελφοί μου, καὶ ὑμεῖς ἐθανατώθητε τῷ νόμῳ διὰ τοῦ σώματος τοῦ χριστοῦ, εἰς τὸ γενέσθαι ὑμᾶς ἑτέρῳ, τῷ ἐκ νεκρῶν ἐγερθέντι, ἵνα καρποφορήσωμεν τῷ θεῷ.; — Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Romans 7:24: ^A wainahs ik manna! hvas mik lauseiþ us þamma leika dauþaus þis?; — ταλαίπωρος ἐγὼ ἄνθρωπος: τίς με ῥύσεται ἐκ τοῦ σώματος τοῦ θανάτου τούτου;; — O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Romans 9:5: ^A þizeei attans, jah us þaimei Xristus bi leika, saei ist ufar allaim guþ þiuþiþs in aiwam, amen.; — ὧν οἱ πατέρες, καὶ ἐξ ὧν ὁ χριστὸς τὸ κατὰ σάρκα: ὁ ὢν ἐπὶ πάντων θεὸς εὐλογητὸς εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας, ἀμήν.; — Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Romans 9:24: ^A þanzei jah laþoda uns ni þatainei us Iudaium, ak jah us þiudom,; — οὓς καὶ ἐκάλεσεν ἡμᾶς οὐ μόνον ἐξ ἰουδαίων ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐξ ἐθνῶν;; — Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
Romans 9:30: ^A hva nu qiþam? þatei þiudos þos ni laistjandeins garaihtein gafaifahun garaihtein, aþþan garaihtein þo us galaubeinai;; — τί οὖν ἐροῦμεν; ὅτι ἔθνη τὰ μὴ διώκοντα δικαιοσύνην κατέλαβεν δικαιοσύνην, δικαιοσύνην δὲ τὴν ἐκ πίστεως:; — What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

(that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Romans 10:7: ^A aiþþau: hvas gasteigiþ in afgrundiþa? þat~ist Xristu us dauþaim iup ustiuhan.; — ἤ, τίς καταβήσεται εἰς τὴν ἄβυσσον; τοῦτ' ἔστιν χριστὸν ἐκ νεκρῶν ἀναγαγεῖν.; — Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
Romans 10:9: ^A þei jabai andhaitis in munþa þeinamma fraujin Iesu jah galaubeis in hairtin þeinamma þatei guþ ina urraisida us dauþaim, ganisis.; — ὅτι ἐὰν ὁμολογήσῃς ἐν τῷ στόματί σου κύριον ἰησοῦν, καὶ πιστεύσῃς ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου ὅτι ὁ θεὸς αὐτὸν ἤγειρεν ἐκ νεκρῶν, σωθήσῃ:; — That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:17: ^A þannu galaubeins us gahauseinai, iþ gahauseins þairh waurd Xristaus.; — ἄρα ἡ πίστις ἐξ ἀκοῆς, ἡ δὲ ἀκοὴ διὰ ῥήματος χριστοῦ.; — So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 11:14: ^A ei hvaiwa in aljana briggau leik mein jah ganasjau sumans us im.; — εἴ πως παραζηλώσω μου τὴν σάρκα καὶ σώσω τινὰς ἐξ αὐτῶν.; — If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
Romans 11:15: ^A jabai auk uswaurpa ize gabei fairhvaus, hva so andanumts, nibai libains us dauþaim?; — εἰ γὰρ ἡ ἀποβολὴ αὐτῶν καταλλαγὴ κόσμου, τίς ἡ πρόσλημψις εἰ μὴ ζωὴ ἐκ νεκρῶν;; — For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
Romans 11:21: ^A þandei guþ þans us gabaurþai astans ni freidida, ibai aufto ni þuk freidjai.; — εἰ γὰρ ὁ θεὸς τῶν κατὰ φύσιν κλάδων οὐκ ἐφείσατο, [μή πως] οὐδὲ σοῦ φείσεται.; — For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Romans 11:24: ^A jabai auk þu us wistai usmaitans þis wilþei<n>s alewabagmis jah aljakuns wisands, intrusgans warst in godana alewabagm, hvan filu mais þai bi wistai intrusgjanda in swesana alewabagm?; — εἰ γὰρ σὺ ἐκ τῆς κατὰ φύσιν ἐξεκόπης ἀγριελαίου καὶ παρὰ φύσιν ἐνεκεντρίσθης εἰς καλλιέλαιον, πόσῳ μᾶλλον οὗτοι οἱ κατὰ φύσιν ἐγκεντρισθήσονται τῇ ἰδίᾳ ἐλαίᾳ.; — For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
Romans 11:26: ^A jah swa allai Israel ganisand, swaswe gameliþ ist: urrinniþ us Sion sa lausjands du afwandjan afgudein af Iakoba.; — καὶ οὕτως πᾶς ἰσραὴλ σωθήσεται: καθὼς γέγραπται, ἥξει ἐκ σιὼν ὁ ῥυόμενος, ἀποστρέψει ἀσεβείας ἀπὸ ἰακώβ:; — And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Romans 11:36: ^Car unte us imma jah þairh ina jah in imma alla; immuh wulþus du aiwam, amen.; — ὅτι ἐξ αὐτοῦ καὶ δι' αὐτοῦ καὶ εἰς αὐτὸν τὰ πάντα: αὐτῷ ἡ δόξα εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας: ἀμήν.; — For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

Corinthians I 5:13: ^A iþ þans uta guþ stojiþ. usnimiþ þana ubilan us izwis silbam.; — τοὺς δὲ ἔξω ὁ θεὸς κρινεῖ. ἐξάρατε τὸν πονηρὸν ἐξ ὑμῶν αὐτῶν.; — But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
