Matthew 6:30

^CA  jah þande þata hawi haiþjos himma daga wisando jah gistradagis in auhn galagiþ guþ swa wasjiþ, hvaiwa mais izwis leitil galaubjandans?

— εἰ δὲ τὸν χόρτον τοῦ ἀγροῦ σήμερον ὄντα καὶ αὔριον εἰς κλίβανον βαλλόμενον ὁ θεὸς οὕτως ἀμφιέννυσιν, οὐ πολλῷ μᾶλλον ὑμᾶς, ὀλιγόπιστοι;

— Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Matthew 8:10

— ἀκούσας δὲ ὁ ἰησοῦς ἐθαύμασεν καὶ εἶπεν τοῖς ἀκολουθοῦσιν, ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, παρ' οὐδενὶ τοσαύτην πίστιν ἐν τῷ ἰσραὴλ εὗρον.

— When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

Matthew 8:13

— καὶ εἶπεν ὁ ἰησοῦς τῷ ἑκατοντάρχῃ, ὕπαγε, ὡς ἐπίστευσας γενηθήτω σοι. καὶ ἰάθη ὁ παῖς [αὐτοῦ] ἐν τῇ ὥρᾳ ἐκείνῃ.

— And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Matthew 8:26

^CA  jah qaþ du im Iesus: hva faurhteiþ, leitil galaubjandans! þanuh urreisands gasok windam jah marein, jah warþ wis mikil.

— καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς, τί δειλοί ἐστε, ὀλιγόπιστοι; τότε ἐγερθεὶς ἐπετίμησεν τοῖς ἀνέμοις καὶ τῇ θαλάσσῃ, καὶ ἐγένετο γαλήνη μεγάλη.

— And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

Matthew 9:2

— καὶ ἰδοὺ προσέφερον αὐτῷ παραλυτικὸν ἐπὶ κλίνης βεβλημένον. καὶ ἰδὼν ὁ ἰησοῦς τὴν πίστιν αὐτῶν εἶπεν τῷ παραλυτικῷ, θάρσει, τέκνον: ἀφίενταί σου αἱ ἁμαρτίαι.

— And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

Matthew 9:22

^CA  iþ Iesus gawandjands sik jah gasaihvands þo qaþ: þrafstei þuk dauhtar! galaubeins þeina ganasida þuk. jah ganas so qino fram þizai hveilai jainai.

— ὁ δὲ ἰησοῦς στραφεὶς καὶ ἰδὼν αὐτὴν εἶπεν, θάρσει, θύγατερ: ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε. καὶ ἐσώθη ἡ γυνὴ ἀπὸ τῆς ὥρας ἐκείνης.

— But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Matthew 9:29

^CA  þanuh attaitok augam ize qiþands: bi galaubeinai iggqarai wairþai iggqis.

— τότε ἥψατο τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῶν λέγων, κατὰ τὴν πίστιν ὑμῶν γενηθήτω ὑμῖν.

— Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Matthew 27:42

— ἄλλους ἔσωσεν, ἑαυτὸν οὐ δύναται σῶσαι: βασιλεὺς ἰσραήλ ἐστιν, καταβάτω νῦν ἀπὸ τοῦ σταυροῦ καὶ πιστεύσομεν ἐπ' αὐτόν.

— He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

John 5:46

— For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.

John 5:47

— εἰ δὲ τοῖς ἐκείνου γράμμασιν οὐ πιστεύετε, πῶς τοῖς ἐμοῖς ῥήμασιν πιστεύσετε;

— But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

John 6:29

— ἀπεκρίθη [ὁ] ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ ἔργον τοῦ θεοῦ, ἵνα πιστεύητε εἰς ὃν ἀπέστειλεν ἐκεῖνος.

— Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

John 6:30

— εἶπον οὖν αὐτῷ, τί οὖν ποιεῖς σὺ σημεῖον, ἵνα ἴδωμεν καὶ πιστεύσωμέν σοι; τί ἐργάζῃ;

— They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

John 6:35

^CA  jah qaþ du im Iesus: ik im sa hlaifs libainais; þana gaggandan du mis ni huggreiþ jah þana galaubjandan du mis ni þaurseiþ hvanhun.

— εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς, ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ἄρτος τῆς ζωῆς: ὁ ἐρχόμενος πρός ἐμὲ οὐ μὴ πεινάσῃ, καὶ ὁ πιστεύων εἰς ἐμὲ οὐ μὴ διψήσει πώποτε.

— And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

John 6:36

— ἀλλ' εἶπον ὑμῖν ὅτι καὶ ἑωράκατέ [με] καὶ οὐ πιστεύετε.

— But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

John 6:40

^CA  þatuh þan ist wilja þis sandjandins mik, ei hvazuh saei saihviþ þana sunu jah galaubeiþ du imma, aigi libain aiweinon, jah urraisja ina ik in spedistin daga.

— τοῦτο γάρ ἐστιν τὸ θέλημα τοῦ πατρός μου, ἵνα πᾶς ὁ θεωρῶν τὸν υἱὸν καὶ πιστεύων εἰς αὐτὸν ἔχῃ ζωὴν αἰώνιον, καὶ ἀναστήσω αὐτὸν ἐγὼ [ἐν] τῇ ἐσχάτῃ ἡμέρᾳ.

— And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:47

— ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὁ πιστεύων ἔχει ζωὴν αἰώνιον.

— Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

John 6:64

— ἀλλ' εἰσὶν ἐξ ὑμῶν τινες οἳ οὐ πιστεύουσιν. ᾔδει γὰρ ἐξ ἀρχῆς ὁ ἰησοῦς τίνες εἰσὶν οἱ μὴ πιστεύοντες καὶ τίς ἐστιν ὁ παραδώσων αὐτόν.

— But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

John 6:69

^CA  jah weis galaubidedum jah ufkunþedum þatei þu is Xristus, sunus gudis libandins.

— καὶ ἡμεῖς πεπιστεύκαμεν καὶ ἐγνώκαμεν ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ ἅγιος τοῦ θεοῦ.

— And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

John 7:5

— For neither did his brethren believe in him.

John 7:31

— ἐκ τοῦ ὄχλου δὲ πολλοὶ ἐπίστευσαν εἰς αὐτόν, καὶ ἔλεγον, ὁ χριστὸς ὅταν ἔλθῃ μὴ πλείονα σημεῖα ποιήσει ὧν οὗτος ἐποίησεν;

— And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?

John 7:38

^CA  saei galaubeiþ du mis, swaswe qaþ gameleins, ahvos us wambai is rinnand watins libandins.

— ὁ πιστεύων εἰς ἐμέ, καθὼς εἶπεν ἡ γραφή, ποταμοὶ ἐκ τῆς κοιλίας αὐτοῦ ῥεύσουσιν ὕδατος ζῶντος.

— He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

John 7:39

— τοῦτο δὲ εἶπεν περὶ τοῦ πνεύματος ὃ ἔμελλον λαμβάνειν οἱ πιστεύσαντες εἰς αὐτόν: οὔπω γὰρ ἦν πνεῦμα, ὅτι ἰησοῦς οὐδέπω ἐδοξάσθη.

— (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

John 7:48

^CA  sai, jau ainshun þize reike galaubidedi imma aiþþau Fareisaie?

— μή τις ἐκ τῶν ἀρχόντων ἐπίστευσεν εἰς αὐτὸν ἢ ἐκ τῶν φαρισαίων;

— Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?

John 8:24

^CA  qaþ nu izwis þatei gadauþniþ in frawaurhtim izwaraim; jabai auk ni galaubeiþ þatei ik im, gadauþniþ in frawaurhtim izwaraim.

— εἶπον οὖν ὑμῖν ὅτι ἀποθανεῖσθε ἐν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις ὑμῶν: ἐὰν γὰρ μὴ πιστεύσητε ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι, ἀποθανεῖσθε ἐν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις ὑμῶν.

— I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

John 8:30

— ταῦτα αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος πολλοὶ ἐπίστευσαν εἰς αὐτόν.

— As he spake these words, many believed on him.

John 8:31

^CA  þanuh qaþ Iesus du þaim galaubjandam sis Iudaium: jabai jus gastandiþ in waurda meinamma, bi sunjai siponjos meinai sijuþ,

— ἔλεγεν οὖν ὁ ἰησοῦς πρὸς τοὺς πεπιστευκότας αὐτῷ ἰουδαίους, ἐὰν ὑμεῖς μείνητε ἐν τῷ λόγῳ τῷ ἐμῷ, ἀληθῶς μαθηταί μού ἐστε,

— Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

John 8:45

^CA  iþ ik, þatei sunja rodida, ni galaubeiþ mis.

— ἐγὼ δὲ ὅτι τὴν ἀλήθειαν λέγω, οὐ πιστεύετέ μοι.

— And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

John 8:46

^CA  hvas izwara gasakiþ mik bi frawaurht? þande sunja qiþa, duhve ni galaubeiþ mis?

— τίς ἐξ ὑμῶν ἐλέγχει με περὶ ἁμαρτίας; εἰ ἀλήθειαν λέγω, διὰ τί ὑμεῖς οὐ πιστεύετέ μοι;

— Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

John 9:18

— οὐκ ἐπίστευσαν οὖν οἱ ἰουδαῖοι περὶ αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἦν τυφλὸς καὶ ἀνέβλεψεν, ἕως ὅτου ἐφώνησαν τοὺς γονεῖς αὐτοῦ τοῦ ἀναβλέψαντος

— But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.

John 9:36

— ἀπεκρίθη ἐκεῖνος καὶ εἶπεν, καὶ τίς ἐστιν, κύριε, ἵνα πιστεύσω εἰς αὐτόν;

— He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?

John 9:38

— And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

John 10:25

— ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς, εἶπον ὑμῖν καὶ οὐ πιστεύετε: τὰ ἔργα ἃ ἐγὼ ποιῶ ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι τοῦ πατρός μου ταῦτα μαρτυρεῖ περὶ ἐμοῦ:

— Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

John 10:26

— ἀλλὰ ὑμεῖς οὐ πιστεύετε, ὅτι οὐκ ἐστὲ ἐκ τῶν προβάτων τῶν ἐμῶν.

— But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

John 10:37

— If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

— εἰ δὲ ποιῶ, κἂν ἐμοὶ μὴ πιστεύητε, τοῖς ἔργοις πιστεύετε, ἵνα γνῶτε καὶ γινώσκητε ὅτι ἐν ἐμοὶ ὁ πατὴρ κἀγὼ ἐν τῷ πατρί.

— But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

John 10:42

— καὶ πολλοὶ ἐπίστευσαν εἰς αὐτὸν ἐκεῖ.

— And many believed on him there.

John 11:15

^CA  jah fagino in izwara, ei galaubjaiþ, unte ni was jainar; akei gaggam du imma.

— καὶ χαίρω δι' ὑμᾶς, ἵνα πιστεύσητε, ὅτι οὐκ ἤμην ἐκεῖ: ἀλλὰ ἄγωμεν πρὸς αὐτόν.

— And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

John 11:25

— εἶπεν αὐτῇ ὁ ἰησοῦς, ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ἀνάστασις καὶ ἡ ζωή: ὁ πιστεύων εἰς ἐμὲ κἂν ἀποθάνῃ ζήσεται,

— Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

John 11:26

— καὶ πᾶς ὁ ζῶν καὶ πιστεύων εἰς ἐμὲ οὐ μὴ ἀποθάνῃ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα: πιστεύεις τοῦτο;

— And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

John 11:27

^CA  qaþ imma: jai, frauja, ik galaubida þatei þu is Xristus, sunus gudis, sa in þana fairhvu qimanda.

— λέγει αὐτῷ, ναί, κύριε: ἐγὼ πεπίστευκα ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ χριστὸς ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ ὁ εἰς τὸν κόσμον ἐρχόμενος.

— She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

John 11:40

^CA  qaþ izai Iesus: niu qaþ þus þatei jabai galaubeis, gasaihvis wulþu gudis?

— λέγει αὐτῇ ὁ ἰησοῦς, οὐκ εἶπόν σοι ὅτι ἐὰν πιστεύσῃς ὄψῃ τὴν δόξαν τοῦ θεοῦ;

— Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

John 11:42

^CA  jah þan ik wissa þatei sinteino mis andhauseis; akei in manageins þizos bistandandeins qaþ, ei galaubjaina þatei þu mik insandides.

— ἐγὼ δὲ ᾔδειν ὅτι πάντοτέ μου ἀκούεις: ἀλλὰ διὰ τὸν ὄχλον τὸν περιεστῶτα εἶπον, ἵνα πιστεύσωσιν ὅτι σύ με ἀπέστειλας.

— And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

John 11:45

^CA  þanuh managai þize Judaiei þai qimandans at Marjin jah saihvandans þatei gatawida, galaubidedun imma.

— πολλοὶ οὖν ἐκ τῶν ἰουδαίων, οἱ ἐλθόντες πρὸς τὴν μαριὰμ καὶ θεασάμενοι ἃ ἐποίησεν, ἐπίστευσαν εἰς αὐτόν:

— Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

John 12:11

^CA  unte managai in þis garunnun Iudaiei jah galaubidedun Iesua.

— ὅτι πολλοὶ δι' αὐτὸν ὑπῆγον τῶν ἰουδαίων καὶ ἐπίστευον εἰς τὸν ἰησοῦν.

— Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

John 12:36

^CA  þande liuhaþ habaiþ, galaubeiþ du liuhada, ei sunjus liuhadis wairþaiþ. þata rodida Iesus, jah galaiþ jah gafalh sik faura im.

— ὡς τὸ φῶς ἔχετε, πιστεύετε εἰς τὸ φῶς, ἵνα υἱοὶ φωτὸς γένησθε. ταῦτα ἐλάλησεν ἰησοῦς, καὶ ἀπελθὼν ἐκρύβη ἀπ' αὐτῶν.

— While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

John 12:37

^CA  swa filu imma taikne gataujandin in andwairþja ize, ni galaubidedun imma,

— τοσαῦτα δὲ αὐτοῦ σημεῖα πεποιηκότος ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν οὐκ ἐπίστευον εἰς αὐτόν,

— But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:

John 12:38

^CA  ei þata waurd Esaeiins praufetaus usfullnodedi þatei qaþ: frauja, hvas galaubida hauseinai unsarai? jah arms fraujins hvamma andhuliþs warþ?

— ἵνα ὁ λόγος ἠσαΐου τοῦ προφήτου πληρωθῇ ὃν εἶπεν, κύριε, τίς ἐπίστευσεν τῇ ἀκοῇ ἡμῶν; καὶ ὁ βραχίων κυρίου τίνι ἀπεκαλύφθη;

— That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

John 12:39

^CA  duþþe ni mahtedun galaubjan; unte aftra qaþ Esaeias:

— διὰ τοῦτο οὐκ ἠδύναντο πιστεύειν, ὅτι πάλιν εἶπεν ἠσαΐας,

— Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,

John 12:42

^CA  þanuh þan sweþauh jah us þaim reikam managai galaubidedun du imma, akei faura Fareisaium ni andhaihaitun, ei us swnagogei ni uswaurpanai waurþeina.

— ὅμως μέντοι καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἀρχόντων πολλοὶ ἐπίστευσαν εἰς αὐτόν, ἀλλὰ διὰ τοὺς φαρισαίους οὐχ ὡμολόγουν ἵνα μὴ ἀποσυνάγωγοι γένωνται:

— Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

John 12:44

^CA  iþ Iesus hropida jah qaþ: saei galaubeiþ du mis ni galaubeiþ du mis, ak du þamma sandjandin mik.

— ἰησοῦς δὲ ἔκραξεν καὶ εἶπεν, ὁ πιστεύων εἰς ἐμὲ οὐ πιστεύει εἰς ἐμὲ ἀλλὰ εἰς τὸν πέμψαντά με,

— Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

John 12:46

^CA  ik liuhad in þamma fairhvau qam, ei hvazuh saei galaubjai du mis, in riqiza ni wisai.

— And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

Luke 8:48

— And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Luke 17:19

— And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

— For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mark 11:24

Mark 16:11

Romans 13:11
