jah anabauþ im qiþands: saihviþ ei atsaihviþ izwis þis beistis Fareisaie jah beistis Herodis.
- — καὶ διεστέλλετο αὐτοῖς λέγων, ὁρᾶτε, βλέπετε ἀπὸ τῆς ζύμης τῶν φαρισαίων καὶ τῆς ζύμης ἡρῴδου.
- — And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.

ni goda so hvoftuli izwara; niu wituþ þatei leitil beistis allana daig gabeisteiþ?
- — οὐ καλὸν τὸ καύχημα ὑμῶν. οὐκ οἴδατε ὅτι μικρὰ ζύμη ὅλον τὸ φύραμα ζυμοῖ;
- — Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

- — ὥστε ἑορτάζωμεν, μὴ ἐν ζύμῃ παλαιᾷ μηδὲ ἐν ζύμῃ κακίας καὶ πονηρίας, ἀλλ' ἐν ἀζύμοις εἰλικρινείας καὶ ἀληθείας.
- — Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
