John chapter 19

John 19:1
CA Þanuh þan nam Peilatus Iesu jah usblaggw.
— τότε οὖν ἔλαβεν ὁ πιλᾶτος τὸν ἰησοῦν καὶ ἐμαστίγωσεν.
— Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.
John 19:2
CA jah þai gadrauhteis uswundun wipja us þaurnum jah galagidedun imma ana haubid jah wastjai paurpurodai gawasidedun ina,
— καὶ οἱ στρατιῶται πλέξαντες στέφανον ἐξ ἀκανθῶν ἐπέθηκαν αὐτοῦ τῇ κεφαλῇ, καὶ ἱμάτιον πορφυροῦν περιέβαλον αὐτόν,
— And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
John 19:3
CA jah qeþun: hails þiudans Iudaie! jah gebun imma slahins lofin.
— καὶ ἤρχοντο πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ ἔλεγον, χαῖρε, ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν ἰουδαίων: καὶ ἐδίδοσαν αὐτῷ ῥαπίσματα.
— And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.
John 19:4
CA atiddja aftra ut Peilatus jah qaþ im: sai, attiuha izwis ina ut, ei witeiþ þatei in imma ni ainohun fairino bigat.
— καὶ ἐξῆλθεν πάλιν ἔξω ὁ πιλᾶτος καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς, ἴδε ἄγω ὑμῖν αὐτὸν ἔξω, ἵνα γνῶτε ὅτι οὐδεμίαν αἰτίαν εὑρίσκω ἐν αὐτῷ.
— Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.
John 19:5
CA þaruh usiddja ut Iesus bairands þana þaurneinan waip jah þo paurpurodon wastja. jah qaþ im: <sai> sa ist sa manna.
— ἐξῆλθεν οὖν ὁ ἰησοῦς ἔξω, φορῶν τὸν ἀκάνθινον στέφανον καὶ τὸ πορφυροῦν ἱμάτιον. καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς, ἰδοὺ ὁ ἄνθρωπος.
— Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!
John 19:6
CA þaruh biþe seƕun ina þai maistans gudjans jah andbahtos, hropidedun qiþandans: ushramei, ushramei ina! qaþ im Peilatus: nimiþ ina jus jah hramjiþ. iþ ik fairina in imma ni bigita.
— ὅτε οὖν εἶδον αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ ὑπηρέται ἐκραύγασαν λέγοντες, σταύρωσον σταύρωσον. λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ πιλᾶτος, λάβετε αὐτὸν ὑμεῖς καὶ σταυρώσατε, ἐγὼ γὰρ οὐχ εὑρίσκω ἐν αὐτῷ αἰτίαν.
— When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.
John 19:7
CA andhofun imma Iudaieis: weis witoþ aihum, jah bi þamma witoda unsaramma skal gaswiltan, unte sik silban gudis sunu gatawida.
— ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτῷ οἱ ἰουδαῖοι, ἡμεῖς νόμον ἔχομεν, καὶ κατὰ τὸν νόμον ὀφείλει ἀποθανεῖν, ὅτι υἱὸν θεοῦ ἑαυτὸν ἐποίησεν.
— The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
John 19:8
CA biþe gahausida Peilatus þata waurd, mais ohta sis.
— ὅτε οὖν ἤκουσεν ὁ πιλᾶτος τοῦτον τὸν λόγον, μᾶλλον ἐφοβήθη,
— When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;
John 19:9
CA jah galaiþ in praitauria<un> aftra jah qaþ du Iesua: ƕaþro is þu? iþ Iesus andawaurdi ni gaf imma.
— καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸ πραιτώριον πάλιν καὶ λέγει τῷ ἰησοῦ, πόθεν εἶ σύ; ὁ δὲ ἰησοῦς ἀπόκρισιν οὐκ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ.
— And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
John 19:10
CA þaruh qaþ imma Peilatus: du mis ni rodeis? niu waist þatei waldufni aih ushramjan þuk jah waldufni aih fraletan þuk?
— λέγει οὖν αὐτῷ ὁ πιλᾶτος, ἐμοὶ οὐ λαλεῖς; οὐκ οἶδας ὅτι ἐξουσίαν ἔχω ἀπολῦσαί σε καὶ ἐξουσίαν ἔχω σταυρῶσαί σε;
— Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
John 19:11
CA andhof Iesus: ni aihtedeis waldufnje ainhun ana mik, nih wesi þus atgiban iupaþro; duhþe sa galewjands mik þus maizein frawaurht habaid.
— ἀπεκρίθη [αὐτῷ] ἰησοῦς, οὐκ εἶχες ἐξουσίαν κατ' ἐμοῦ οὐδεμίαν εἰ μὴ ἦν δεδομένον σοι ἄνωθεν: διὰ τοῦτο ὁ παραδούς μέ σοι μείζονα ἁμαρτίαν ἔχει.
— Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
John 19:12
CA Framuh þamma sokida Peilatus fraletan ina. iþ Iudaieis hropidedun qiþandans: jabai þana fraletis, ni is frijonds kaisara; saƕazuh izei þiudan sik silban taujiþ, andstandiþ kaisara.
— ἐκ τούτου ὁ πιλᾶτος ἐζήτει ἀπολῦσαι αὐτόν: οἱ δὲ ἰουδαῖοι ἐκραύγασαν λέγοντες, ἐὰν τοῦτον ἀπολύσῃς, οὐκ εἶ φίλος τοῦ καίσαρος: πᾶς ὁ βασιλέα ἑαυτὸν ποιῶν ἀντιλέγει τῷ καίσαρι.
— And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.
John 19:13
CA þanuh Peilatus hausjands þize ....
— ὁ οὖν πιλᾶτος ἀκούσας τῶν λόγων τούτων ἤγαγεν ἔξω τὸν ἰησοῦν, καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐπὶ βήματος εἰς τόπον λεγόμενον λιθόστρωτον, ἑβραϊστὶ δὲ γαββαθα.
— When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
