Ephesians chapter 5

Ephesians 5:1: ^A Wairþaiþ nu galeikondans guda swe barna liuba; ^B Wairþaiþ nu galeikondans guda swe barna liuba; — γίνεσθε οὖν μιμηταὶ τοῦ θεοῦ, ὡς τέκνα ἀγαπητά,; — Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
Ephesians 5:2: ^A jah gaggaiþ in frijaþwai, swaswe jah Xristus frijoda uns jah atgaf sik silban faur uns hunsl jah sauþ guda du daunai woþjai.; ^B jah gaggaiþ in friaþwai, swaswe jah Xristus frijoda uns jah atgaf sik silban faur uns hunsl jah sauþ guda du daunai woþjai.; — καὶ περιπατεῖτε ἐν ἀγάπῃ, καθὼς καὶ ὁ χριστὸς ἠγάπησεν ἡμᾶς καὶ παρέδωκεν ἑαυτὸν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν προσφορὰν καὶ θυσίαν τῷ θεῷ εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας.; — And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Ephesians 5:3: ^A aþþan horinassus jah allos unhrainiþos aiþþau faihufrikei nih namnjaidau ....; ^B aþþan horinassus jah allos unhrainiþos aiþþau faihufrikei nih namnjaidau in izwis, swaswe gadob ist weihaim,; — πορνεία δὲ καὶ ἀκαθαρσία πᾶσα ἢ πλεονεξία μηδὲ ὀνομαζέσθω ἐν ὑμῖν, καθὼς πρέπει ἁγίοις,; — But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Ephesians 5:4: ^B aiþþau <aglaitiwaurdei aiþþau> dwalawaurdei aiþþau saldra, þoei du þaurftai ni fairrinnand, ak mais awiliuda.; — καὶ αἰσχρότης καὶ μωρολογία ἢ εὐτραπελία, ἃ οὐκ ἀνῆκεν, ἀλλὰ μᾶλλον εὐχαριστία.; — Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
Ephesians 5:5: ^B þata auk witeiþ, kunnandans þatei hvazu<h> hors aiþþau unhrains aiþþau faihufriks, þatei ist galiugagude skalkinassaus, ni habaiþ arbi in þiudangardjai Xristaus jah gudis.; — τοῦτο γὰρ ἴστε γινώσκοντες ὅτι πᾶς πόρνος ἢ ἀκάθαρτος ἢ πλεονέκτης, ὅ ἐστιν εἰδωλολάτρης, οὐκ ἔχει κληρονομίαν ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τοῦ χριστοῦ καὶ θεοῦ.; — For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Ephesians 5:6: ^B ni manna izwis uslu[s]to lausaim waurdam, þairh þoei qimiþ hatis gudis ana sunum ungalaubeinais.; — μηδεὶς ὑμᾶς ἀπατάτω κενοῖς λόγοις, διὰ ταῦτα γὰρ ἔρχεται ἡ ὀργὴ τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῆς ἀπειθείας.; — Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Ephesians 5:7: ^B ni wairþaiþ nu gadailans im.; — μὴ οὖν γίνεσθε συμμέτοχοι αὐτῶν:; — Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
Ephesians 5:8: ^B wesuþ auk suman riqiz, iþ nu liuhaþ in fraujin; swe barna liuhadis gaggaiþ. —; — ἦτε γάρ ποτε σκότος, νῦν δὲ φῶς ἐν κυρίῳ: ὡς τέκνα φωτὸς περιπατεῖτε; — For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Ephesians 5:9: ^B aþþan akran liuhadis ist in allai selein jah garaihtein jah sunjai. —; — – ὁ γὰρ καρπὸς τοῦ φωτὸς ἐν πάσῃ ἀγαθωσύνῃ καὶ δικαιοσύνῃ καὶ ἀληθείᾳ –; — (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Ephesians 5:10: ^B gakiusandans þatei sijai waila galeikaiþ fraujin,; — δοκιμάζοντες τί ἐστιν εὐάρεστον τῷ κυρίῳ:; — Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Ephesians 5:11: ^B jah ni gamainjaiþ waurstwam riqizis ....; — καὶ μὴ συγκοινωνεῖτε τοῖς ἔργοις τοῖς ἀκάρποις τοῦ σκότους, μᾶλλον δὲ καὶ ἐλέγχετε,; — And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Ephesians 5:17: ^A duþþe ni wairþaiþ unfrodai, ak fraþjandans hva sijai wilja fraujins.; — διὰ τοῦτο μὴ γίνεσθε ἄφρονες, ἀλλὰ συνίετε τί τὸ θέλημα τοῦ κυρίου.; — Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:18: ^A jah ni anadrigkaiþ izwis weina, in þammei ist usstiurei, ak fullnaiþ in ahmin,; — καὶ μὴ μεθύσκεσθε οἴνῳ, ἐν ᾧ ἐστιν ἀσωτία, ἀλλὰ πληροῦσθε ἐν πνεύματι,; — And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Ephesians 5:19: ^A rodjandans izwis in psalmom jah hazeinim jah saggwim ahmeinaim, siggwandans in hairtam izwaraim fraujin,; — λαλοῦντες ἑαυτοῖς [ἐν] ψαλμοῖς καὶ ὕμνοις καὶ ᾠδαῖς πνευματικαῖς, ᾄδοντες καὶ ψάλλοντες τῇ καρδίᾳ ὑμῶν τῷ κυρίῳ,; — Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Ephesians 5:20: ^A awiliudondans sinteino fram allaim in namin fraujins unsaris Iesuis Xristaus attin jah guda,; — εὐχαριστοῦντες πάντοτε ὑπὲρ πάντων ἐν ὀνόματι τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ τῷ θεῷ καὶ πατρί,; — Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Ephesians 5:21: ^A ufhausjandans izwis misso in agisa Xristaus.; — ὑποτασσόμενοι ἀλλήλοις ἐν φόβῳ χριστοῦ.; — Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Ephesians 5:22: ^A qenes seinaim abnam ufhausjaina swaswe fraujin;; — αἱ γυναῖκες τοῖς ἰδίοις ἀνδράσιν ὡς τῷ κυρίῳ,; — Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Ephesians 5:23: ^A unte wair ist haubiþ qenais swaswe jah Xristus haubiþ aikklesjons, jah is ist nasjands leikis.; — ὅτι ἀνήρ ἐστιν κεφαλὴ τῆς γυναικὸς ὡς καὶ ὁ χριστὸς κεφαλὴ τῆς ἐκκλησίας, αὐτὸς σωτὴρ τοῦ σώματος.; — For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Ephesians 5:24: ^A akei swaswe aikklesjo ufhauseiþ Xristu, swah qenes abnam seinaim in allamma.; — ἀλλὰ ὡς ἡ ἐκκλησία ὑποτάσσεται τῷ χριστῷ, οὕτως καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες τοῖς ἀνδράσιν ἐν παντί.; — Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Ephesians 5:25: ^A jus wairos frijoþ qenins izwaros, swaswe jah Xristus frijoda aikklesjon jah sik silban atgaf faur þo,; — οἱ ἄνδρες, ἀγαπᾶτε τὰς γυναῖκας, καθὼς καὶ ὁ χριστὸς ἠγάπησεν τὴν ἐκκλησίαν καὶ ἑαυτὸν παρέδωκεν ὑπὲρ αὐτῆς,; — Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Ephesians 5:26: ^A ei þo gaweihaidedi gahrainjands þwahla watins in waurda,; — ἵνα αὐτὴν ἁγιάσῃ καθαρίσας τῷ λουτρῷ τοῦ ὕδατος ἐν ῥήματι,; — That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Ephesians 5:27: ^A ei ustauhi silba sis wulþaga aikklesjon, ni habandein wamme aiþþau maile aiþþau hva swaleikaize, ak ei sijai weiha jah unwamma.; — ἵνα παραστήσῃ αὐτὸς ἑαυτῷ ἔνδοξον τὴν ἐκκλησίαν, μὴ ἔχουσαν σπίλον ἢ ῥυτίδα ἤ τι τῶν τοιούτων, ἀλλ' ἵνα ᾖ ἁγία καὶ ἄμωμος.; — That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Ephesians 5:28: ^A swa jah wairos skulun frijon seinos qenins swe leika seina. [sein silbins leik frijoþ,] saei seina qen frijoþ, [jah] sik silban frijoþ.; — οὕτως ὀφείλουσιν [καὶ] οἱ ἄνδρες ἀγαπᾶν τὰς ἑαυτῶν γυναῖκας ὡς τὰ ἑαυτῶν σώματα. ὁ ἀγαπῶν τὴν ἑαυτοῦ γυναῖκα ἑαυτὸν ἀγαπᾷ,; — So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Ephesians 5:29: ^A ni auk manna hvanhun sein leik fijaida, ak fodeiþ ita jah warmeiþ swaswe jah Xristus aikklesjon ....; — οὐδεὶς γάρ ποτε τὴν ἑαυτοῦ σάρκα ἐμίσησεν, ἀλλὰ ἐκτρέφει καὶ θάλπει αὐτήν, καθὼς καὶ ὁ χριστὸς τὴν ἐκκλησίαν,; — For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
