Corinthians I chapter 10

Corinthians I 10:1: ^A Ni wiljau izwis unwitans, broþrjus, þatei attans unsarai allai uf milhmin wesun, jah allai marein þairhiddjedun,; — οὐ θέλω γὰρ ὑμᾶς ἀγνοεῖν, ἀδελφοί, ὅτι οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν πάντες ὑπὸ τὴν νεφέλην ἦσαν καὶ πάντες διὰ τῆς θαλάσσης διῆλθον,; — Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
Corinthians I 10:2: ^A jah allai in Mose daupidai wesun, in milhmin jah in marein,; — καὶ πάντες εἰς τὸν μωϋσῆν ἐβαπτίσθησαν ἐν τῇ νεφέλῃ καὶ ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ,; — And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
Corinthians I 10:3: ^A jah allai þana saman mat ahmeinan matidedun,; — καὶ πάντες τὸ αὐτὸ πνευματικὸν βρῶμα ἔφαγον,; — And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
Corinthians I 10:4: ^A jah <allai> þata samo dragk ahmeino drugkun ....; — καὶ πάντες τὸ αὐτὸ πνευματικὸν ἔπιον πόμα: ἔπινον γὰρ ἐκ πνευματικῆς ἀκολουθούσης πέτρας: ἡ πέτρα δὲ ἦν ὁ χριστός.; — And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Corinthians I 10:15: ^A .... frodaim qiþa; domeiþ jus þatei qiþa.; — ὡς φρονίμοις λέγω: κρίνατε ὑμεῖς ὅ φημι.; — I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
Corinthians I 10:16: ^A stikls þiuþiqissais þanei gaweiham, niu gamainduþs bloþis fraujins ist? hlaifs þanei brikam, niu gamainduþs leikis fraujins ist?; — τὸ ποτήριον τῆς εὐλογίας ὃ εὐλογοῦμεν, οὐχὶ κοινωνία ἐστὶν τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ χριστοῦ; τὸν ἄρτον ὃν κλῶμεν, οὐχὶ κοινωνία τοῦ σώματος τοῦ χριστοῦ ἐστιν;; — The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
Corinthians I 10:17: ^A unte ains hlaifs, ain leik þai managans sium, þaiei auk allai ainis hlaibis jah ainis stiklis brukjam.; — ὅτι εἷς ἄρτος, ἓν σῶμα οἱ πολλοί ἐσμεν, οἱ γὰρ πάντες ἐκ τοῦ ἑνὸς ἄρτου μετέχομεν.; — For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
Corinthians I 10:18: ^A saihviþ Israel bi leika: niu þai matjandans hunsla gamainjandans hunslastada sind?; — βλέπετε τὸν ἰσραὴλ κατὰ σάρκα: οὐχ οἱ ἐσθίοντες τὰς θυσίας κοινωνοὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου εἰσίν;; — Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
Corinthians I 10:19: ^A hva nu qiþam? þatei þo galiugaguda hva sijaina aiþþau þatei galiugam saljada hva sijai?; — τί οὖν φημι; ὅτι εἰδωλόθυτόν τί ἐστιν; ἢ ὅτι εἴδωλόν τί ἐστιν;; — What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
Corinthians I 10:20: ^A [ni þatei þo galiugaguda waihts sijaina,] ak þatei saljand þiudos, skohslam saljand, jan~ni guda. Ni wiljau auk izwis skohslam gadailans wairþan.; — ἀλλ' ὅτι ἃ θύουσιν, δαιμονίοις καὶ οὐ θεῷ [θύουσιν], οὐ θέλω δὲ ὑμᾶς κοινωνοὺς τῶν δαιμονίων γίνεσθαι.; — But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
Corinthians I 10:21: ^A ni maguþ stikl fraujins drigkan jah stikl skohsle; ni maguþ biudis fraujins fairaihan jab~biudis skohsle.; — οὐ δύνασθε ποτήριον κυρίου πίνειν καὶ ποτήριον δαιμονίων: οὐ δύνασθε τραπέζης κυρίου μετέχειν καὶ τραπέζης δαιμονίων.; — Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
Corinthians I 10:22: ^A þau inaljanom fraujin? ibai swinþozans imma sium?; — ἢ παραζηλοῦμεν τὸν κύριον; μὴ ἰσχυρότεροι αὐτοῦ ἐσμεν;; — Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
Corinthians I 10:23: ^A all binah, akei ni all daug; all mis binauht ist, akei ni all timreiþ.; — πάντα ἔξεστιν, ἀλλ' οὐ πάντα συμφέρει. πάντα ἔξεστιν, ἀλλ' οὐ πάντα οἰκοδομεῖ.; — All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
Corinthians I 10:24: ^A ni ainshun sein sokjai, ak anþaris hvarjizuh.; — μηδεὶς τὸ ἑαυτοῦ ζητείτω ἀλλὰ τὸ τοῦ ἑτέρου.; — Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
Corinthians I 10:25: ^A all þatei at skiljam frabugjaidau matjaiþ, ni waiht andhruskandans in miþwisseins.; — πᾶν τὸ ἐν μακέλλῳ πωλούμενον ἐσθίετε μηδὲν ἀνακρίνοντες διὰ τὴν συνείδησιν,; — Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
Corinthians I 10:26: ^A fraujins ist auk airþa jah fullo izos.; — τοῦ κυρίου γὰρ ἡ γῆ καὶ τὸ πλήρωμα αὐτῆς.; — For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.
Corinthians I 10:27: ^A iþ jabai hvas laþo izwis þize ungalaubjandane jah wileiþ gaggan, all þatei faurlagjaidau izwis matjaiþ, ni waiht andsitandans bi gahugdai.; — εἴ τις καλεῖ ὑμᾶς τῶν ἀπίστων καὶ θέλετε πορεύεσθαι, πᾶν τὸ παρατιθέμενον ὑμῖν ἐσθίετε μηδὲν ἀνακρίνοντες διὰ τὴν συνείδησιν.; — If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
Corinthians I 10:28: ^A iþ jabai hvas qiþai þatei galiugam gasaliþ ist, ni matjaiþ in jainis þis bandwjandins jah þuhta<us>: fraujins ist auk airþa jah fullo izos;; — ἐὰν δέ τις ὑμῖν εἴπῃ, τοῦτο ἱερόθυτόν ἐστιν, μὴ ἐσθίετε δι' ἐκεῖνον τὸν μηνύσαντα καὶ τὴν συνείδησιν –; — But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
Corinthians I 10:29: ^A þuhtuþ~þan qiþa ni silbins, ak anþaris. duhve auk frijei meina stojada þairh ungalaubjandins þuhtu?; — συνείδησιν δὲ λέγω οὐχὶ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἀλλὰ τὴν τοῦ ἑτέρου. ἱνατί γὰρ ἡ ἐλευθερία μου κρίνεται ὑπὸ ἄλλης συνειδήσεως;; — Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?
Corinthians I 10:30: ^A jabai ik anstai andnima, duhve anaqiþaidau in þize ik awiliudo?; — εἰ ἐγὼ χάριτι μετέχω, τί βλασφημοῦμαι ὑπὲρ οὗ ἐγὼ εὐχαριστῶ;; — For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
Corinthians I 10:31: ^A jaþþe nu matjaiþ jaþþe drigkaiþ jaþþe hva taujiþ, allata du wulþau gudis taujaiþ.; — εἴτε οὖν ἐσθίετε εἴτε πίνετε εἴτε τι ποιεῖτε, πάντα εἰς δόξαν θεοῦ ποιεῖτε.; — Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Corinthians I 10:32: ^A unufbrikandans sijaiþ jah Iudaium jah þiudom jah aikklesjon gudis,; — ἀπρόσκοποι καὶ ἰουδαίοις γίνεσθε καὶ ἕλλησιν καὶ τῇ ἐκκλησίᾳ τοῦ θεοῦ,; — Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
Corinthians I 10:33: ^A swaswe ik allaim all leika, ni sokjands þatei mis bruk sijai, ak þatei þaim managam, ei ganisaina.; — καθὼς κἀγὼ πάντα πᾶσιν ἀρέσκω, μὴ ζητῶν τὸ ἐμαυτοῦ σύμφορον ἀλλὰ τὸ τῶν πολλῶν, ἵνα σωθῶσιν.; — Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
