Mark chapter 11

Mark 11:1
CA  Jah biþe nehva wesun Iairusalem, in Beþsfagein jah Biþaniin at fairgunja alewjin, insandida twans siponje seinaize
— καὶ ὅτε ἐγγίζουσιν εἰς ἱεροσόλυμα εἰς βηθφαγὴ καὶ βηθανίαν πρὸς τὸ ὄρος τῶν ἐλαιῶν, ἀποστέλλει δύο τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ
— And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
Mark 11:2
CA  jah qaþ du im: gaggats in haim þo wiþrawairþon iggqis, jah sunsaiw inngaggandans in þo [baurg] bigitats fulan gabundanana, ana þammei nauh ainshun manne ni sat; andbindandans ina attiuhats.
— καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς, ὑπάγετε εἰς τὴν κώμην τὴν κατέναντι ὑμῶν, καὶ εὐθὺς εἰσπορευόμενοι εἰς αὐτὴν εὑρήσετε πῶλον δεδεμένον ἐφ' ὃν οὐδεὶς οὔπω ἀνθρώπων ἐκάθισεν: λύσατε αὐτὸν καὶ φέρετε.
— And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
Mark 11:3
CA  jah jabai hvas iggqis qiþai: duhve þata taujats? qiþaits: þatei frauja þis gairneiþ; jah sunsaiw ina insandeiþ hidre.
— καὶ ἐάν τις ὑμῖν εἴπῃ, τί ποιεῖτε τοῦτο; εἴπατε, ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ χρείαν ἔχει, καὶ εὐθὺς αὐτὸν ἀποστέλλει πάλιν ὧδε.
— And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
Mark 11:4
CA  galiþun þan jah bigetun fulan gabundanana at daura uta ana gagga; jah andbundun ina.
— καὶ ἀπῆλθον καὶ εὗρον πῶλον δεδεμένον πρὸς θύραν ἔξω ἐπὶ τοῦ ἀμφόδου, καὶ λύουσιν αὐτόν.
— And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
Mark 11:5
CA  jah sumai þize jainar standandane qeþun du im: hva taujats andbindandans þana fulan?
— καί τινες τῶν ἐκεῖ ἑστηκότων ἔλεγον αὐτοῖς, τί ποιεῖτε λύοντες τὸν πῶλον;
— And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
Mark 11:6
CA   eis qeþun du im swaswe anabauþ im Iesus, jah lailotun ins.
— οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτοῖς καθὼς εἶπεν ὁ ἰησοῦς: καὶ ἀφῆκαν αὐτούς.
— And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
Mark 11:7
CA  jah brahtedun þana fulan at Iesua jah galagidedun ana <ina> wastjos seinos, jah gasat ana ina.
— καὶ φέρουσιν τὸν πῶλον πρὸς τὸν ἰησοῦν, καὶ ἐπιβάλλουσιν αὐτῷ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐπ' αὐτόν.
— And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
Mark 11:8
CA  managai þan wastjom seinaim strawidedun ana wiga; sumai astans maimaitun us bagmam jah strawidedun ana wiga.
— καὶ πολλοὶ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν ἔστρωσαν εἰς τὴν ὁδόν, ἄλλοι δὲ στιβάδας κόψαντες ἐκ τῶν ἀγρῶν.
— And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.
Mark 11:9
CA  jah þai fauragaggandans <jah þai afarlaistjandans> hropidedun qiþandans: osanna, þiuþida sa qimanda in namin fraujins!
— καὶ οἱ προάγοντες καὶ οἱ ἀκολουθοῦντες ἔκραζον, ὡσαννά: εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου:
— And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
Mark 11:10
CA  þiuþido so qimandei þiudangardi in namin <fraujins> attins unsaris Daweidis, osanna in hauhistjam!
— εὐλογημένη ἡ ἐρχομένη βασιλεία τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν δαυίδ: ὡσαννὰ ἐν τοῖς ὑψίστοις.
— Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
Mark 11:11
CA  jah galaiþ in Iairusaulwma Iesus jah in alh; jah bisaihvands alla, at andanahtja juþan wisandin hveilai usiddja in Beþanian miþ þaim twalibim.
— καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς ἱεροσόλυμα εἰς τὸ ἱερόν: καὶ περιβλεψάμενος πάντα, ὀψίας ἤδη οὔσης τῆς ὥρας, ἐξῆλθεν εἰς βηθανίαν μετὰ τῶν δώδεκα.
— And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
Mark 11:12

— καὶ τῇ ἐπαύριον ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ βηθανίας ἐπείνασεν.
— And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
Mark 11:13
CA  jah gasaihvands smakkabagm fairraþro habandan lauf atiddja, ei aufto bigeti hva ana imma; jah qimands at imma ni waiht bigat ana imma niba lauf; ni auk was mel smakkane.
— καὶ ἰδὼν συκῆν ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἔχουσαν φύλλα ἦλθεν εἰ ἄρα τι εὑρήσει ἐν αὐτῇ, καὶ ἐλθὼν ἐπ' αὐτὴν οὐδὲν εὗρεν εἰ μὴ φύλλα: ὁ γὰρ καιρὸς οὐκ ἦν σύκων.
— And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
Mark 11:14
CA  jah usbairands qaþ du imma: ni þanaseiþs us þus aiw manna akran matjai. jah gahausidedun þai siponjos is.
— καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτῇ, μηκέτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐκ σοῦ μηδεὶς καρπὸν φάγοι. καὶ ἤκουον οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ.
— And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
Mark 11:15
CA  jah iddjedun du Iairusaulwmai. jah atgaggands Iesus in alh dugann uswairpan þans frabugjandans jah bugjandans in alh jah mesa skattjane jah sitlans þize frabugjandane ahakim uswaltida.
— καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς ἱεροσόλυμα. καὶ εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν ἤρξατο ἐκβάλλειν τοὺς πωλοῦντας καὶ τοὺς ἀγοράζοντας ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ, καὶ τὰς τραπέζας τῶν κολλυβιστῶν καὶ τὰς καθέδρας τῶν πωλούντων τὰς περιστερὰς κατέστρεψεν,
— And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
Mark 11:16
CA  jah ni lailot ei hvas þairhberi kas þairh þo alh.
— καὶ οὐκ ἤφιεν ἵνα τις διενέγκῃ σκεῦος διὰ τοῦ ἱεροῦ.
— And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
Mark 11:17
CA  jah laisida qiþands du im: niu gameliþ ist þatei razn mein razn bido haitada allaim þiudom? jus gatawideduþ ita du filigrja waidedjane.
— καὶ ἐδίδασκεν καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς, οὐ γέγραπται ὅτι ὁ οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς κληθήσεται πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν; ὑμεῖς δὲ πεποιήκατε αὐτὸν σπήλαιον λῃστῶν.
— And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Mark 11:18
CA  jah gahausidedun þai bokarjos jah gudjane auhumistans jah sokidedun, hvaiwa imma usqistidedeina: ohtedun auk ina, unte alla managei sildaleikidedun in laiseinais is.
— καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς, καὶ ἐζήτουν πῶς αὐτὸν ἀπολέσωσιν: ἐφοβοῦντο γὰρ αὐτόν, πᾶς γὰρ ὁ ὄχλος ἐξεπλήσσετο ἐπὶ τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ.
— And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
Mark 11:19
CA  jah biþe andanahti warþ, usiddja ut us þizai baurg.
— καὶ ὅταν ὀψὲ ἐγένετο, ἐξεπορεύοντο ἔξω τῆς πόλεως.
— And when even was come, he went out of the city.
Mark 11:20
CA  jah in maurgin faurgaggandans gasehvun þana smakkabagm þaursjana us waurtim.
— καὶ παραπορευόμενοι πρωῒ εἶδον τὴν συκῆν ἐξηραμμένην ἐκ ῥιζῶν.
— And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
Mark 11:21
CA  jah gamunands Paitrus qaþ du imma: rabbei, sai, smakkabagms þanei fraqast gaþaursnoda.
— καὶ ἀναμνησθεὶς ὁ πέτρος λέγει αὐτῷ, ῥαββί, ἴδε ἡ συκῆ ἣν κατηράσω ἐξήρανται.
— And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
Mark 11:22
CA  jah andhafjands Iesus qaþ du im: habaiþ galaubein gudis!
— καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς, ἔχετε πίστιν θεοῦ,
— And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Mark 11:23
CA  amen auk qiþa izwis, þishvazuh ei qiþai du þamma fairgunja: ushafei þuk jah wairp þus in marein, jah ni tuzwerjai in hairtin seinamma, ak galaubjai þata, ei þatei qiþiþ gagaggiþ, wairþiþ imma þishvah þei qiþiþ.
— ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ὃς ἂν εἴπῃ τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ, ἄρθητι καὶ βλήθητι εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, καὶ μὴ διακριθῇ ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἀλλὰ πιστεύῃ ὅτι ὃ λαλεῖ γίνεται, ἔσται αὐτῷ.
— For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mark 11:24
CA  duþþe qiþa izwis: allata þishvah þei bidjandans sokeiþ, galaubeiþ þatei nimiþ, jah wairþiþ izwis.
— διὰ τοῦτο λέγω ὑμῖν, πάντα ὅσα προσεύχεσθε καὶ αἰτεῖσθε, πιστεύετε ὅτι ἐλάβετε, καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν.
— Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:25
CA  jah þan standaiþ bidjandans, afletaiþ, jabai hva habaiþ wiþra hvana, ei jah atta izwar sa in himinam afletai izwis missadedins izwaros.
— καὶ ὅταν στήκετε προσευχόμενοι, ἀφίετε εἴ τι ἔχετε κατά τινος, ἵνα καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ὑμῶν ὁ ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς ἀφῇ ὑμῖν τὰ παραπτώματα ὑμῶν.
— And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Mark 11:26
CA   jabai jus ni afletiþ, ni þau atta izwar sa in himinam afletiþ izwis missadedins izwaros.
— But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Mark 11:27
CA  jah iddjedun aftra du Iairusaulwmai. jah in alh hvarbondin imma, atiddjedun du imma þai auhumistans gudjans jah bokarjos jah sinistans.
— καὶ ἔρχονται πάλιν εἰς ἱεροσόλυμα. καὶ ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ περιπατοῦντος αὐτοῦ ἔρχονται πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι
— And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
Mark 11:28
CA  jah qeþun du imma: in hvamma waldufnje þata taujis? jah hvas þus þata waldufni atgaf, ei þata taujis?
— καὶ ἔλεγον αὐτῷ, ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιεῖς; ἢ τίς σοι ἔδωκεν τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην ἵνα ταῦτα ποιῇς;
— And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
Mark 11:29
CA   Iesus andhafjands qaþ du im: fraihna jah ik izwis ainis waurdis jah andhafjiþ mis, jah qiþa izwis in hvamma waldufnje þata tauja.
— ὁ δὲ ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, ἐπερωτήσω ὑμᾶς ἕνα λόγον, καὶ ἀποκρίθητέ μοι, καὶ ἐρῶ ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ:
— And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
Mark 11:30
CA  daupeins Iohannis uzuh himina was þau uzuh mannam? andhafjiþ mis.
— τὸ βάπτισμα τὸ ἰωάννου ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἦν ἢ ἐξ ἀνθρώπων; ἀποκρίθητέ μοι.
— The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
Mark 11:31
CA  jah þahtedun du sis misso qiþandans, jabai qiþam: us himina, qiþiþ: aþþan duhve ni galaubideduþ imma?
— καὶ διελογίζοντο πρὸς ἑαυτοὺς λέγοντες, ἐὰν εἴπωμεν, ἐξ οὐρανοῦ, ἐρεῖ, διὰ τί [οὖν] οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ;
— And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
Mark 11:32
CA  ak qiþam: us mannam, uhtedun þo managein. allai auk alakjo habaidedun Iohannen þatei bi sunjai praufetes was.
— ἀλλὰ εἴπωμεν, ἐξ ἀνθρώπων; – ἐφοβοῦντο τὸν ὄχλον, ἅπαντες γὰρ εἶχον τὸν ἰωάννην ὄντως ὅτι προφήτης ἦν.
— But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
Mark 11:33
CA  jah andhafjandans qeþun du Iesua: ni witum. jah andhafjands Iesus qaþ du im: nih ik izwis qiþa in hvamma waldufnje þata tauja.
— καὶ ἀποκριθέντες τῷ ἰησοῦ λέγουσιν, οὐκ οἴδαμεν. καὶ ὁ ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς, οὐδὲ ἐγὼ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ.
— And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
