Luke chapter 17

Luke 17:3: ^CA .... jabai frawaurkjai broþar þeins, gasak imma; jah þan jabai idreigo sik, fraletais imma.; — προσέχετε ἑαυτοῖς. ἐὰν ἁμάρτῃ ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐπιτίμησον αὐτῷ, καὶ ἐὰν μετανοήσῃ ἄφες αὐτῷ:; — Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
Luke 17:4: ^CA jah jabai sibun sinþam ana dag frawaurkjai du þus, jah sibun sinþam ana dag gawandjai sik qiþands: idreigo mik, fraletais imma.; — καὶ ἐὰν ἑπτάκις τῆς ἡμέρας ἁμαρτήσῃ εἰς σὲ καὶ ἑπτάκις ἐπιστρέψῃ πρὸς σὲ λέγων, μετανοῶ, ἀφήσεις αὐτῷ.; — And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
Luke 17:5: ^CA jah qeþun apaustauleis du fraujin: biauk uns galaubein.; — καὶ εἶπαν οἱ ἀπόστολοι τῷ κυρίῳ, πρόσθες ἡμῖν πίστιν.; — And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
Luke 17:6: ^CA qaþ þan frauja: jabai habaidedeiþ galaubein swe kaurno sinapis, aiþþau jus [jabai] qiþeiþ du bairabagma þamma: uslausei þuk us waurtim jah ussatei þuk in marein, jah andhausidedi þau izwis.; — εἶπεν δὲ ὁ κύριος, εἰ ἔχετε πίστιν ὡς κόκκον σινάπεως, ἐλέγετε ἂν τῇ συκαμίνῳ [ταύτῃ], ἐκριζώθητι καὶ φυτεύθητι ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ: καὶ ὑπήκουσεν ἂν ὑμῖν.; — And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
Luke 17:7: ^CA hvas þan izwara skalk aigands arjandan aiþþau haldandan, saei atgaggandin af haiþjai qiþai: suns hindarleiþ anuhkumbei?; — τίς δὲ ἐξ ὑμῶν δοῦλον ἔχων ἀροτριῶντα ἢ ποιμαίνοντα, ὃς εἰσελθόντι ἐκ τοῦ ἀγροῦ ἐρεῖ αὐτῷ, εὐθέως παρελθὼν ἀνάπεσε,; — But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
Luke 17:8: ^CA ak niu qiþiþ du imma: manwei hva du naht matjau jah bigaurdans andbahtei mis, unte matja jah drigka, jah biþe gamatjis jah gadrigkais þu?; — ἀλλ' οὐχὶ ἐρεῖ αὐτῷ, ἑτοίμασον τί δειπνήσω, καὶ περιζωσάμενος διακόνει μοι ἕως φάγω καὶ πίω, καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα φάγεσαι καὶ πίεσαι σύ;; — And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
Luke 17:9: ^CA iba þank þu fairhaitis skalka jainamma, unte gatawida þatei anabudan was? ni man.; — μὴ ἔχει χάριν τῷ δούλῳ ὅτι ἐποίησεν τὰ διαταχθέντα;; — Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
Luke 17:10: ^CA swa jah jus, þan taujaiþ alla þo anabudanona izwis, qiþaiþ þatei skalkos unbrukjai sijum, unte þatei skuldedum taujan gatawidedum.; — οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς, ὅταν ποιήσητε πάντα τὰ διαταχθέντα ὑμῖν, λέγετε ὅτι δοῦλοι ἀχρεῖοί ἐσμεν, ὃ ὠφείλομεν ποιῆσαι πεποιήκαμεν.; — So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
Luke 17:11: ^CA jah warþ, miþþanei iddja is in Iairusalem, jah is þairhiddja þairh midja Samarian jah Galeilaian.; — καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ πορεύεσθαι εἰς ἰερουσαλὴμ καὶ αὐτὸς διήρχετο διὰ μέσον σαμαρείας καὶ γαλιλαίας.; — And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
Luke 17:12: ^CA jah inngaggandin imma in suma haimo, gamotidedun imma taihun þrutsfillai mans, þaih gastoþun fairraþro.; — καὶ εἰσερχομένου αὐτοῦ εἴς τινα κώμην ἀπήντησαν [αὐτῷ] δέκα λεπροὶ ἄνδρες, οἳ ἔστησαν πόρρωθεν,; — And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
Luke 17:13: ^CA jah silbans ushofon stibna qiþandans: Iesu, talzjand, armai unsis!; — καὶ αὐτοὶ ἦραν φωνὴν λέγοντες, ἰησοῦ ἐπιστάτα, ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς.; — And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
Luke 17:14: ^CA jah gaumjands qaþ du im: gaggandans ataugeiþ izwis gudjam. jah warþ, miþþanei galiþun, gahrainidai waurþun.; — καὶ ἰδὼν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, πορευθέντες ἐπιδείξατε ἑαυτοὺς τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν. καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ὑπάγειν αὐτοὺς ἐκαθαρίσθησαν.; — And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
Luke 17:15: ^CA iþ ains þan ize gaumjands þammei hrains warþ, gawandida sik miþ stibnai mikilai hauhjands guþ; — εἷς δὲ ἐξ αὐτῶν, ἰδὼν ὅτι ἰάθη, ὑπέστρεψεν μετὰ φωνῆς μεγάλης δοξάζων τὸν θεόν,; — And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
Luke 17:16: ^CA jah draus ana andawleizn faura fotum is awiliudonds imma; sah was Samareites.; — καὶ ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον παρὰ τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ εὐχαριστῶν αὐτῷ: καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν σαμαρίτης.; — And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
Luke 17:17: ^CA andhafjands þan Iesus qaþ: niu taihun þai gahrainidai waurþun? iþ þai niun hvar?; — ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ ἰησοῦς εἶπεν, οὐχὶ οἱ δέκα ἐκαθαρίσθησαν; οἱ δὲ ἐννέα ποῦ;; — And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
Luke 17:18: ^CA ni bigitanai waurþun gawandjandans giban wulþu guda, niba sa aljakunja?; — οὐχ εὑρέθησαν ὑποστρέψαντες δοῦναι δόξαν τῷ θεῷ εἰ μὴ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς οὗτος;; — There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
Luke 17:19: ^CA jah qaþ du imma: usstandands gagg, galaubeins þeina ganasida þuk.; — καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ, ἀναστὰς πορεύου: ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε.; — And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
Luke 17:20: ^CA fraihans þan fram Fareisaium: hvan qimiþ þiudangardi gudis? andhof im jah qaþ: ni qimiþ þiudangardi gudis miþ atwitainai;; — ἐπερωτηθεὶς δὲ ὑπὸ τῶν φαρισαίων πότε ἔρχεται ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς καὶ εἶπεν, οὐκ ἔρχεται ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ μετὰ παρατηρήσεως,; — And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luke 17:21: ^CA nih qiþand: sai her, aiþþau sai jainar; sai auk, þiudangardi gudis in izwis ist.; — οὐδὲ ἐροῦσιν, ἰδοὺ ὧδε: ἤ, ἐκεῖ: ἰδοὺ γὰρ ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ ἐντὸς ὑμῶν ἐστιν.; — Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Luke 17:22: ^CA qaþ þan du siponjam: aþþan qimand dagos, þan gairneiþ ainana þize dage sunaus mans gasaihvan jah ni gasaihviþ.; — εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς τοὺς μαθητάς, ἐλεύσονται ἡμέραι ὅτε ἐπιθυμήσετε μίαν τῶν ἡμερῶν τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἰδεῖν καὶ οὐκ ὄψεσθε.; — And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
Luke 17:23: ^CA jah qiþand izwis: sai her, aiþþau sai jainar; ni galeiþaiþ nih laistjaiþ.; — καὶ ἐροῦσιν ὑμῖν, ἰδοὺ ἐκεῖ: [ἤ,] ἰδοὺ ὧδε: μὴ ἀπέλθητε μηδὲ διώξητε.; — And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
Luke 17:24: ^CA swaswe raihtis lauhmoni lauhatjandei us þamma uf himina in þata uf himina skeiniþ, swa wairþiþ sunus mans in daga seinamma.; — ὥσπερ γὰρ ἡ ἀστραπὴ ἀστράπτουσα ἐκ τῆς ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανὸν εἰς τὴν ὑπ' οὐρανὸν λάμπει, οὕτως ἔσται ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου [ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ αὐτοῦ].; — For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
Luke 17:25: ^CA aþþan faurþis skal manag gaþulan jah uskiusada fram þamma kunja.; — πρῶτον δὲ δεῖ αὐτὸν πολλὰ παθεῖν καὶ ἀποδοκιμασθῆναι ἀπὸ τῆς γενεᾶς ταύτης.; — But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
Luke 17:26: ^CA jah swaswe warþ in dagam Nauelis, swah wairþiþ jah in dagam sunaus mans.; — καὶ καθὼς ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις νῶε, οὕτως ἔσται καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου:; — And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
Luke 17:27: ^CA etun jah drugkun, liugaidedun jah liugaidos wesun, und þanei dag galaiþ Nauel in arka; jah qam midjasweipains jah fraqistida allans.; — ἤσθιον, ἔπινον, ἐγάμουν, ἐγαμίζοντο, ἄχρι ἧς ἡμέρας εἰσῆλθεν νῶε εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν, καὶ ἦλθεν ὁ κατακλυσμὸς καὶ ἀπώλεσεν πάντας.; — They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Luke 17:28: ^CA samaleiko jah swe warþ in dagam Lodis; etun jah drugkun, bauhtedun jah frabauhtedun, satidedun, timridedun;; — ὁμοίως καθὼς ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις λώτ: ἤσθιον, ἔπινον, ἠγόραζον, ἐπώλουν, ἐφύτευον, ᾠκοδόμουν:; — Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
Luke 17:29: ^CA iþ þammei daga usiddja Lod us Saudaumim, rignida swibla jah funin us himina jah fraqistida allaim.; — ᾗ δὲ ἡμέρᾳ ἐξῆλθεν λὼτ ἀπὸ σοδόμων, ἔβρεξεν πῦρ καὶ θεῖον ἀπ' οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἀπώλεσεν πάντας.; — But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Luke 17:30: ^CA bi þamma wairþiþ þamma daga, ei sunus mans andhuljada.; — κατὰ τὰ αὐτὰ ἔσται ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἀποκαλύπτεται.; — Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Luke 17:31: ^CA in jainamma daga, saei sijai ana hrota jah kasa is in razna, ni atsteigai dalaþ niman þo; jah saei ana haiþjai, samaleiko ni gawandjai sik ibukana.; — ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὃς ἔσται ἐπὶ τοῦ δώματος καὶ τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ, μὴ καταβάτω ἆραι αὐτά, καὶ ὁ ἐν ἀγρῷ ὁμοίως μὴ ἐπιστρεψάτω εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω.; — In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
Luke 17:32: ^CA gamuneiþ qenais Lodis.; — μνημονεύετε τῆς γυναικὸς λώτ.; — Remember Lot's wife.
Luke 17:33: ^CA saei sokeiþ saiwala seina ganasjan, fraqisteiþ izai, jah saei fraqisteiþ izai in meina, ganasjiþ þo.; — ὃς ἐὰν ζητήσῃ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ περιποιήσασθαι ἀπολέσει αὐτήν, ὃς δ' ἂν ἀπολέσῃ ζῳογονήσει αὐτήν.; — Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
Luke 17:34: ^CA qiþa izwis þatei þizai naht twai wairþand ana ligra samin, ains usnimada jah anþar bileiþada;; — λέγω ὑμῖν, ταύτῃ τῇ νυκτὶ ἔσονται δύο ἐπὶ κλίνης μιᾶς, ὁ εἷς παραλημφθήσεται καὶ ὁ ἕτερος ἀφεθήσεται:; — I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
Luke 17:35: ^CA twos wairþand malandeins samana, aina usnimada jah anþara bileiþada.; — ἔσονται δύο ἀλήθουσαι ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό, ἡ μία παραλημφθήσεται ἡ δὲ ἑτέρα ἀφεθήσεται.; — Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Luke 17:37: ^CA jah andhafjandans qeþun du imma: hvar, frauja? iþ is qaþ im: þarei leik, jaindre galisand sik arans.; — καὶ ἀποκριθέντες λέγουσιν αὐτῷ, ποῦ, κύριε; ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, ὅπου τὸ σῶμα, ἐκεῖ καὶ οἱ ἀετοὶ ἐπισυναχθήσονται.; — And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
