John chapter 13

John 13:11
CA  .... qaþ: ni allai hrainjai sijuþ.
— ᾔδει γὰρ τὸν παραδιδόντα αὐτόν: διὰ τοῦτο εἶπεν ὅτι οὐχὶ πάντες καθαροί ἐστε.
— For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
John 13:12
CA  Biþeh þan usþwoh fotuns ize jah nam wastjos seinos, anakumbjands aftra qaþ du im: witudu hva gatawida izwis?
— ὅτε οὖν ἔνιψεν τοὺς πόδας αὐτῶν [καὶ] ἔλαβεν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀνέπεσεν πάλιν, εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, γινώσκετε τί πεποίηκα ὑμῖν;
— So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
John 13:13
CA  jus wopeid mik: laisareis jah frauja. waila qiþiþ, im auk.
— ὑμεῖς φωνεῖτέ με ὁ διδάσκαλος καὶ ὁ κύριος, καὶ καλῶς λέγετε, εἰμὶ γάρ.
— Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
John 13:14

— εἰ οὖν ἐγὼ ἔνιψα ὑμῶν τοὺς πόδας ὁ κύριος καὶ ὁ διδάσκαλος, καὶ ὑμεῖς ὀφείλετε ἀλλήλων νίπτειν τοὺς πόδας:
— If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
John 13:15
CA  du frisahtai auk atgaf izwis, ei swaswe ik gatawida izwis, swa jus taujaiþ.
— ὑπόδειγμα γὰρ ἔδωκα ὑμῖν ἵνα καθὼς ἐγὼ ἐποίησα ὑμῖν καὶ ὑμεῖς ποιῆτε.
— For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
John 13:16
CA  amen amen qiþa izwis: nist skalks maiza fraujin seinamma, nih apaustaulus maiza þamma sandjandin sik.
— ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐκ ἔστιν δοῦλος μείζων τοῦ κυρίου αὐτοῦ οὐδὲ ἀπόστολος μείζων τοῦ πέμψαντος αὐτόν.
— Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
John 13:17
CA  þande þata wituþ, audagai sijuþ, jabai taujiþ þata.
— εἰ ταῦτα οἴδατε, μακάριοί ἐστε ἐὰν ποιῆτε αὐτά.
— If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
John 13:18
CA  ni bi allans izwis qiþa. ik wait hvarjans gawalida; ak ei usfulliþ waurþi þata gamelido: saei matida miþ mis hlaib, ushof ana mik fairzna seina.
— οὐ περὶ πάντων ὑμῶν λέγω: ἐγὼ οἶδα τίνας ἐξελεξάμην: ἀλλ' ἵνα ἡ γραφὴ πληρωθῇ, ὁ τρώγων μου τὸν ἄρτον ἐπῆρεν ἐπ' ἐμὲ τὴν πτέρναν αὐτοῦ.
— I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.
John 13:19
CA  fram himma qiþa izwis, faurþizei waurþi, ei biþe wairþai, galaubjaiþ þatei ik im.
— ἀπ' ἄρτι λέγω ὑμῖν πρὸ τοῦ γενέσθαι, ἵνα πιστεύσητε ὅταν γένηται ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι.
— Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.
John 13:20
CA  amen amen qiþa izwis: saei andnimiþ þana þanei ik insandja, mik andnimiþ; saei mik andnimiþ, andnimiþ þana sandjandan mik.
— ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὁ λαμβάνων ἄν τινα πέμψω ἐμὲ λαμβάνει, ὁ δὲ ἐμὲ λαμβάνων λαμβάνει τὸν πέμψαντά με.
— Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
John 13:21
CA  þata qiþands Iesus indrobnoda ahmin jah weitwodida jah qaþ: amen amen, qiþa izwis þatei ains izwara galeweiþ mik.
— ταῦτα εἰπὼν [ὁ] ἰησοῦς ἐταράχθη τῷ πνεύματι καὶ ἐμαρτύρησεν καὶ εἶπεν, ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι εἷς ἐξ ὑμῶν παραδώσει με.
— When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
John 13:22

— ἔβλεπον εἰς ἀλλήλους οἱ μαθηταὶ ἀπορούμενοι περὶ τίνος λέγει.
— Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.
John 13:23

— Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
John 13:24

— νεύει οὖν τούτῳ σίμων πέτρος πυθέσθαι τίς ἂν εἴη περὶ οὗ λέγει.
— Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.
John 13:25
CA  anakumbida þan jains swa ana barma Iesuis qaþuh imma: frauja, hvas ist?
— ἀναπεσὼν οὖν ἐκεῖνος οὕτως ἐπὶ τὸ στῆθος τοῦ ἰησοῦ λέγει αὐτῷ, κύριε, τίς ἐστιν;
— He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?
John 13:26
CA  andhof Iesus: sa ist þammei ik ufdaupjands þana hlaif giba. jah ufdaupjands þana hlaif gaf Iudin Seimonis, Skariotau.
— ἀποκρίνεται [ὁ] ἰησοῦς, ἐκεῖνός ἐστιν ᾧ ἐγὼ βάψω τὸ ψωμίον καὶ δώσω αὐτῷ. βάψας οὖν τὸ ψωμίον [λαμβάνει καὶ] δίδωσιν ἰούδᾳ σίμωνος ἰσκαριώτου.
— Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
John 13:27
CA  jah afar þamma hlaiba þan galaiþ in jainana Satana. qaþ þan du imma Iesus: þatei taujis, tawei sprauto.
— καὶ μετὰ τὸ ψωμίον τότε εἰσῆλθεν εἰς ἐκεῖνον ὁ σατανᾶς. λέγει οὖν αὐτῷ ὁ ἰησοῦς, ὃ ποιεῖς ποίησον τάχιον.
— And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
John 13:28
CA  þatuh þan ainshun ni wissa þize anakumbjandane, duhve qaþ imma.
— τοῦτο [δὲ] οὐδεὶς ἔγνω τῶν ἀνακειμένων πρὸς τί εἶπεν αὐτῷ:
— Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.
John 13:29
CA  sumai mundedun, ei unte arka habaida Iudas, þatei qeþi imma Iesus: bugei þizei þaurbeima du dulþai, aiþþau þaim unledam ei hva gibau.
— τινὲς γὰρ ἐδόκουν, ἐπεὶ τὸ γλωσσόκομον εἶχεν ἰούδας, ὅτι λέγει αὐτῷ [ὁ] ἰησοῦς, ἀγόρασον ὧν χρείαν ἔχομεν εἰς τὴν ἑορτήν, ἢ τοῖς πτωχοῖς ἵνα τι δῷ.
— For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.
John 13:30
CA  biþe andnam þana hlaib jains, suns galaiþ ut. wasuh þan nahts, þan galaiþ ut.
— λαβὼν οὖν τὸ ψωμίον ἐκεῖνος ἐξῆλθεν εὐθύς: ἦν δὲ νύξ.
— He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.
John 13:31
CA  qaþ þan Iesus: nu gasweraids warþ sunus mans, jah guþ hauhiþs ist in imma.
— ὅτε οὖν ἐξῆλθεν λέγει ἰησοῦς, νῦν ἐδοξάσθη ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου, καὶ ὁ θεὸς ἐδοξάσθη ἐν αὐτῷ:
— Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
John 13:32
CA  jabai nu guþ hauhiþs ist in imma, jah guþ hauheiþ ina in sis jah suns hauhida ina.
— [εἰ ὁ θεὸς ἐδοξάσθη ἐν αὐτῷ] καὶ ὁ θεὸς δοξάσει αὐτὸν ἐν αὐτῷ, καὶ εὐθὺς δοξάσει αὐτόν.
— If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.
John 13:33

— τεκνία, ἔτι μικρὸν μεθ' ὑμῶν εἰμι: ζητήσετέ με, καὶ καθὼς εἶπον τοῖς ἰουδαίοις ὅτι ὅπου ἐγὼ ὑπάγω ὑμεῖς οὐ δύνασθε ἐλθεῖν, καὶ ὑμῖν λέγω ἄρτι.
— Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
John 13:34
CA  anabusn niuja giba izwis, ei frijoþ izwis misso swe ik frijoda izwis, þei jah jus frijoþ misso izwis.
— ἐντολὴν καινὴν δίδωμι ὑμῖν, ἵνα ἀγαπᾶτε ἀλλήλους: καθὼς ἠγάπησα ὑμᾶς ἵνα καὶ ὑμεῖς ἀγαπᾶτε ἀλλήλους.
— A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 13:35
CA  bi þamma ufkunnand allai, þei meinai siponjos sijuþ, jabai friaþwa habaid miþ izwis misso.
— ἐν τούτῳ γνώσονται πάντες ὅτι ἐμοὶ μαθηταί ἐστε, ἐὰν ἀγάπην ἔχητε ἐν ἀλλήλοις.
— By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:36

— λέγει αὐτῷ σίμων πέτρος, κύριε, ποῦ ὑπάγεις; ἀπεκρίθη [αὐτῷ] ἰησοῦς, ὅπου ὑπάγω οὐ δύνασαί μοι νῦν ἀκολουθῆσαι, ἀκολουθήσεις δὲ ὕστερον.
— Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.
John 13:37
CA  þaruh Paitrus qaþ du imma: frauja, duhve ni mag þuk laistjan nu? saiwala meina faur þuk lagja.
— λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ πέτρος, κύριε, διὰ τί οὐ δύναμαί σοι ἀκολουθῆσαι ἄρτι; τὴν ψυχήν μου ὑπὲρ σοῦ θήσω.
— Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.
John 13:38
CA  andhof Iesus: saiwala þeina faur mik lagjis? amen amen qiþa þus, þei hana ni hrukeiþ, unte þu mik afaikis kunnan þrim sinþam.
— ἀποκρίνεται ἰησοῦς, τὴν ψυχήν σου ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ θήσεις; ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι, οὐ μὴ ἀλέκτωρ φωνήσῃ ἕως οὗ ἀρνήσῃ με τρίς.
— Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.
